Within moments, Tuesday has arrived at the Banquet, and enters. She wonders around a little, noticing that some people are rather excited, and holding fruits and other blunt objects. She wonders what they're doing, but walks on anyway, looking for Calithin.
She finds him quickly, and makes her way to him, feeling relieved. She was feeling misplaced with all the Blessed around, though she made it look like she fit in quite well.
"Hey." She greets him with a grin. "I'm not late...am I?"

I smile when I see Tuesday and kiss her cheek. I'm very, very relieved at her choice of outfit.
"Heyyy! No. You're not late at all. I only got here a few minutes ago myself, so the party's only been alive that long. It's good to see you. You look totally not terrible at all whatsoever."
I grab a drink for her and hand it over lightly.
"Whatcha been up to besides being pretty?"
I'm a smoothie.

"Thanks! Its great to see you to." Tuesday replies. "You're looking pretty suave yourself. That tie is great. Really, just great."
She accepts the drink, and takes a sip. "I've been so busy, writing stories like crazy. You'd think there was a shortage of journalists in the world." She shakes her head a little and takes another sip of the drink in her hand.
"Howa about you?"

I look down at my tie and feel pretty good about myself. Yay me.
"Working. Pretty much all the live long day. It's good though. It's fun. We are productive. We get stuff done. The world has crystals for another day because of me. You know how it is being amazing."
I laugh a little and sip my own drink. As I purvey the room a little I notice someone being pummeled with... Fruit.
"Hey! Look at that! What is with that? Do you think it's, like... Performance art or something?"

Tuesday nods. "Thats good." She says, and is also distracted by the fruit throwing.
She shrugs. "I don't know. Performance art is probably a good stab at it though. Lets go find out!" She walks a little closer, and watches the person being pelted with fruit. She looked familiar. ...Hilja? No, it couldn't be. But, it was. Yes, it certainly was. Tuesday wondered how she had gotten into that situation.
"I think I know her."

"Say WHAT?"
I follow Tuesday to get a better look and wonder what kind of people she knows if... Oh my god. No way.
"I think... I... Know her... Also."
I didn't know Hilja was a performance artist. That's much too cool. It doesn't seem like the right answer.
"Well, she's tied up. Okay. I think I got it: this performance art is suppose to represent how people were bound to agricultural work before the industrial revolution. That's why she's getting hit with fruit."
I'm really good at figuring stuff out.
"I wonder what kind of rope that is... I think we should help her out. Do you want to throw something? I want a pineapple."

"I don't know..." Tuesday states and is unsure. "I've always thought of Hilja as a little timid. I don't think she would be one who was into performance art." She thinks a little longer.
As she looks around at other people she notices them holding objects other than fruit. She points at a person with a whisk. "I don't think its based on agriculture and being bound to it." She says, also noticing someone with a spatula.

I notice the people with other objects too and am pretty upset that my idea was wrong.
"Okay... Resolution number 2: it represents the fact that no matter how much you acquire in this life, you're still bound by the limitations of reality."
I find myself a pretty adequately sized pineapple and throw it at Hilja's back.
"I sure hope this is performance art... Because if not... I just threw a pineapple at someone whose tied up at a party. Which is like a really crazy... Kind of awesome movie."
I find Tuesday a plum and hand it to her.
"Your turn."

Tuesday scratches her head. It does seem like a resonable solution, after all why else would Hilja be subjecting herself to this? But really, Hilja didn't seem like the type of person to be interested in performing. Its all a little confusing for Tuesday.
"Oh, uh, thanks." She says, and takes the plum. She doesn't really want to throw it at Hilja, she'll feel bad if she does. So she aims away from her, and tosses the round purple fruit. It hits the ground and rolls away.
"Oh drat. I really have awful aim." She says, feigning disappointment. "What a waste." She shrugs, suddenly feeling a little cold and rubs her arms, wishing she'd thought to bring herself a jacket.

((Ahhhhh. Exhausted. Heading to bed. Night!))
I frown when the plum doesn't hit it's target, but don't want to give her a hard time about it.
"Ah, don't worry about that. You can always try again later."
I take note of the chillyness and slip off my jacket. I pull it over Tuesday's shoulders and sip my drink contentedly.
"I think you might look better in that than I do. So typical."

"Oh gee, I don't want to embarrass myself. I'll probably just refrain from object throwing in public until I get some more target practice." Tuesday says. Really, she just doesn't want to throw things at Hilja. Tuesday doesn't know her very well, but doesn't think she'd be one to exploit herself like that voluntarily. She decides to try and talk to her later if she gets a chance.
Tuesday smiles when Calithin gives her his jacket. "Thanks." She pulls it around her a little tighter, before shaking her head a little.
"Actually, I'm pretty sure that it looked better on you. But I'll do my best to work it."
(G'night!)

My skin is bruised and sticky from the fruit, other food, and objects thrown at me. Something large...like a basketball, hits my back. I yelp. I hear my brother's voice though and feel encouraged, although pretty embarassed. At least I have a bag over my head. It helps with the embarassment of the situation.
"This isn't my fault...blame..Dr. Lonrott!" I lament.

Kaschei and Machiavelli wander inside the mansion but thread through the crowds without greeting anyone. Kaschei wonders if perhaps Alfonso will show up and if Alexei is out yet. After they make their way to the back of the room, Kaschei finally speaks to Machiavelli.
"Things have been going well. At first I was upset that 'Alexei failed in his mission related to the bank in London, however, I am pleased by recent developments since he has been imprisoned by Global Bank." Kaschei says in a quiet and low tone to his friend.
Mac was very aware of his friends face as they spoke. He had missed him with Mac having to be away for so long. Mac had not liked Alexei very much from the beginning but then again you arent suppose to like your collegues necessarily.
"I am very happy things are going good. Alexei can get things done sometimes, however I believe that Alexei sometimes is rash and rushes into things, master. What are we going to do reguarding him being imprisoned?"
Mac sees the young woman getting pelted with fruit and laughs thinking how her flesh might taste stripped from the bone smothered in the fruit juices. He cant help but smirk at this thought.

"Okay, okay. Maybe it looked a little better on me."
I finish my drink and hand the empty glass off to a passing servant. There seem to be alot of people I know here. Usually I don't like such stuffy parties but this is okay. I don't know how a person could complain about any event where they get to throw fruit, anyway.
"So, you know, this is my father's house. He's sort of... Eccentric. I really wouldn't have trusted him with planning a banquet, but I guess this didn't turn out too badly. The entertainment is a little... Unconventional. But not bad. I'm surprised."
I stop for a second, realizing something.
"Oh, man. I think I was totally wrong about the performing arts thing. Obviously it's a commentary on society. On, like mob mentality. Like when people get together they just go along with what everyone else is doing is when it's bad. Such as in the example of throwing fruit at a person for apparently no reason. So, so intense. The subject is such a trooper. But then... People have always made great sacrifices for art. Do you like art?"

"I spoke with a certain priest who is working on getting him out of prison." Kaschei replies to the dragon. "The only cost is that I must support a project of his related to red leaf production. Of course, this project is in my interest as well. Anything to break up the Manalist drug monopoly." Kaschei states. He smiles at the dragon, but frowns when he thinks of Alexei's failure.
"The failure is important...since it involves the London branch of Global Bank. There are Creditors now guarding the bank...because of suspected corruption. It is where I bank...and finding a new branch will be difficult. It upsets me."
