Bonifaz enters the room after a long conversation with his father. He notices Kyra, who he saw at the party, and Archer who works for his family's company. He notices a woman and man who he doesn't know. "I was on the phone talking with my father about that meeting of the Economic Council. We sent a representative there." Bonifaz explains. He walks in on time to hear Archer suggest having a party, with different music, and video cameras.
"Hmmm...so...we have a party? Make tapes of it, and trade the tapes?....Why?" Bonifaz asks. He follows some sort of logic and usually doesn't do anything too pointless, even if he thinks everything is pointless anyway. "I don't like music."

"We could have a party." Heikki decides. He is for the party idea. "I don't really like to have too much fun though." He says before looking down at his feet. "Maybe we could have a party though anyway. We could have costumes too! Could it have costumes and dancing?" Heikki asks Archer. They are off topic, since they came there to discuss terrorism, but, why not take time for a party? They have plenty of time before Manala Mas.

I notice Bonifaz walk into the room and peak at him through my fingers. I like Bonifaz.
"We already have costumes. I only do... One kind of dancing. We should invite... Everyone."
I yawn again and push my chest out, which makes my back crack audibly. I have not been still for so long. I like sitting still.
"You can never really sit still because the earth is moving, but you..."
I motion in Heikki's direction.
"Are the still point of a turning world."

"We're not going to have any stupid party. We have things to do." Bonifaz snaps at Archer. He doesn't even know where this idea for a party came from...but they won't have time to plan something for Manala Mas if they invite ..Everyone.. to some party. "Anyway, it will attract attention to us." Bonifaz reasons.

"I think a party is a good idea. We need to have ...a good time sometimes. Anyway, what does it matter if we have a party? Why do we have to follow any schedule. We're not supposed to be so uptight. A lot of that is what we are fighting for! I think...we should enjoy a little freedom!" Heikki replies to bonifaz, who seems to be increasingly upset over the party idea.
"Anyway, if we get to dress up, I'm for it. I would like a room where we can have a ballroom sort of dance...and I would like to wear a nice dress.."

"The Economic Council has decided that we will have a party...a Banquet for the Cursed. Banquet..." Amelia pipes in. "The Moderator has decided...Mr. Potato Head...Bucket of Fun..." "Buckets and buckets of fun." Amelia chirps. She is in favor of the party.
"I vote for a party." Amelia says, raising her hand.

I yawn yet again and prop myself up on my elbows, but this becomes too difficult to maintain so I just collapse onto my back again.
"We're having a party. It's decided."
I roll onto my side and stare at the stitching in the couch.
"The robot is... The most reasonable one of us all."
I like the robot the most. Now there is a heirarchy.

"Your Credit Rating's so bad, it smells like an abortion." Amelia tells the man. She laughs. "I will go have the party now. The Banquet of the Cursed. I am gone now." Amelia leaves the room for another room, which she stakes out as her party room. She does not have any music, so she makes a strange mechanical humming noise...which gives the effect of minimalistic techno ...music? Or just a robot humming sound.
"I am in the party room. I am in the party room. I am in the party room." She says between mechanical hums.

I wonder how much a mechanical arm would cost v/s how much someone would pay for a human arm. I don't think it's proportional. I sigh and kick off my old shoes, which then clunk to the ground. My socks are mismatched and have holes in them, which I actually kind of like.
"We have to invite everyone if we're going to have a party. If we're elitist with it... We would be... Just like the Manalists."

"Fine do whatever you want. I don't care." Bonifaz says, putting his arms up. Ultimately it doesn't really matter anyway. Nothing does, so, he tells himself to not get so uptight about it.
"Go ahead, invite anyone. Invite the Moderator. Who really cares."

"Don't get upset Bonifaz. Maybe we can turn the party into something useful. Maybe we could sell drugs at the party and it could be like...a fundraising event for Null. It would be like...a tuperware or avon party, except with pills and things instead. We could invite the mafia and people who might want to buy. Then, we could use the money we raise to buy something useful for the group." Heikki suggests cheerfully.

I contemplate the Moderator, which reminds me of how much I like people with glasses. They always look smart.
"You're always so nasty. You care... Too much."
With a tremendous effort I sit up, and then slowly stand up, using the couch to steady myself. I give Bonifaz a once over.
"I'm going to steal your jacket."
I think Heikki's idea is pretty good. I'm sure once I get out of trouble, I could get drugs for the event.

Bonifaz watches as the newcomer takes his jacket. He is annoyed, but pretends not to care. "Maybe the party idea isn't terrible. Maybe we could use it as a social gathering to sell drugs. Selling drugs is safer in Germany than most places."
He turns to Archer. "Fine Archer, you can have this party...maybe it wasn't a terrible idea afterall."

"Maybe we could make some invitations...they could be made with cut out letters from magazines on the pages of old books. And we could send a cookie with each invitation so that people are more likely to come. We could call it a cookie party! And ...well, I guess some people might come for cookies, but we could have those too! Maybe it could be...part bake sale/part drug sale!" Heikki says with pep. This is the happiest he has been for some time.

I actually don't like parties at all and was only joking, so this is a little disconcerting to me.
"Okay."
I take Bonifaz's jacket and lay back down on the couch, using it to cover myself like a blanket. I frown and think to myself that Heikki is much too peppy. I wonder what the robot is doing and feel a little strange being around so many people.
"I like people with glasses."
