She hates being put down or criticized, because it makes her feel ashamed of herself, so she doesn't let anyone push her around...and when they get the better of her, she cries to her sister. She tries to be compassionate and feel empathy for people, but has trouble doing so. She likes getting her way, but doesn't like being snobby or obnoxious.

She loved her sister, but wanted that her mother to show her kindness. However, every time she'd tried to reach out to her mother, she was punished, getting beaten and bruised for trying to show tenderness, therefore sinning. Bella was always there for Kiley when she needed her, and Kiley didn't know what she would do without her.
Eventually, she stopped wanting kindness from her mother, instead just craving attention of any kind from anyone in the house, and attention she got. Through breaking rules, and acting against Manalism, her parents paid her much attention, not the kind of attention most would want, however. For years, Bella was the only one who showed Kiley any kindness, and they got punished for that as well.
When Kiley was 10 years old, Bella was kicked out of the house. Kiley was left alone with her parents, who didn't approve of much of anything that Kiley did. They didn't approve of her attention-seeking attitude, which really isn't her fault, because they saw her disorder as a weakness. They didn't approve of her femininity or her lightheartedness. In short, they were ashamed to call her their daughter. And for four years, they did everything in her power to change her, becoming increasingly angry as they failed. Their father wouldn't send Kiley away, as he had Bella, for she wasn't promised to be the strong person that Bella was.
Kiley would often be left alone, locked away in some back room as punishment. For her, that was worst than any amount of beatings or physical harm they could inflict upon her.
Finally, when Kiley was 14, Bella came back for her. She didn't know exactly what happened, for she had fled the moment she heard something happening, taking cover in a hall closet. At the end of the brawl, when Bella found her, both her parents were dead, and Bella wasn't in a good shape. Kiley had burst into tears, and raged through the house, tearing apart anything that wasn't demolished, until her sister calmed her down, and removed her from the house.
Kiley was bought to America with her sister, which she wasn't to happy about, because even at fourteen, she knew what a wasteland it was, and wasn't to keen on going there. But, Bella took care of her. Getting her as much of an education as she could, Kiley also learned to play tennis, and found she enjoyed it. Sharon also bought fencing swords, and the pair learned to fence, which Kiley loved to do.
Due to her childhood with her parents, Kiley is very anti-manalist. But she doesn't feel the motivation to rebel, and get involved. Instead, she keeps her nose clean, and stays out of the way of the Manalists...for the most part. She also doesn't acknowledge the fact that she's not human, and uses her teleportation power rarely, she prefers to use booths. For the most part, as far as she's concerned she is human.
Today, she still lives with her sister in America. They have a black and white kitten named Danny, which Sharon bought for Kiley. Kiley loves her cat, and gives him a lot of attention, though she often forgets to feed him or give him water, she basically depends on Bella to do that for her.
