Chapter 2: Works of Love

[slowpoke]

Charon looks directly at the man when he mentions the fairy.

"Was it small and pink? Very jittery?" Charon wonders if it could be Asphodel,and as to why she would tell random people who he was.

His eyes scan some more and eventually end on a garden hoe to his right "If worse comes to worse" he thinks to himself "I guess the hoe will do"

[Alexei Nacharade]

Alexei nods slowly,

"That's her." He says, glancing around, "I wanted to ask you about this demon. It can suppsoedly manipulate plants. I represent certain...parties...interested in such a creature. We were hoping you could point us towards it."

[Toolah "Tuvi" Renee]

(Ha. Sorry. Had to play catch up.)

Tuvi gets her message from Peter. She had been working on her end of the deal since Peter left. She hits the ENTER button her laptop then types Peter back one word: Done.

[slowpoke]

As the man speaks a terrified look comes over Charon's face. "You speak of Attis" he says a strange tone emanating from his mouth. "He is the son of a powerful forest demon, he will destroy you! What possible reason do you have to look for him?!"

Charon begins to slowly move towards picking up his watering can on the ground, as he picks it up he grabs the hoe and waits for the man's response.

[Alexei Nacharade]

Alexei tenses when he picks up the hoe and steps back, then reaches behind him and pulls out the manala pistol, pointing it at him before saying slowly,

"That isn't any of your concern, sir, just tell us how to find him, and how to capture him."

[Beth Bathory]

Beth stood back as Alexei had notioned and she rather enjoyed watching. This Charon person was very cautious and would not invite Alexei in. Very wise. So she pretended to observe her nails watching them out of the corner of her eyes. Only when Alexei pulled his pistol from his back did she act shocked as any woman might.

All the while saying nothing letting the men take full in this plight.

[slowpoke]

A look of shock pulls itself over Charon's face and he drops the hoe. "I'm sorry I had no intention of hurting anyone, I was merely going to tend to my garden. As for your demon problem I can't exactly help you. I don't have too much information on Attis and I certainly wouldn't know his current whereabouts. I could possibly look at my books to see if they say anything about him or a possible weakness but I'd have to get back to you."

Charon thinks for a moment before resuming his speech "Last think I remember is he was in the city somewhere, your guess is a as good as mine"

[Alexei Nacharade]

Alexei narrows his eyes. He isn't sure he believes the elf.

"Lets go inside." He says, and motion to the house with his pistol. He looks at Beth, "Care to join us, dear? Maybe you can be more pursuasive then I can."

He looks back to Charon, keeping the gun trained on him cautiously.

"Lets go, come on."

[Beth Bathory]

Get back to us? It seemed to Beth that Charon was hiding something. It didnt bode well that he wanted to get back to them because that meant they would have to leave a means of getting in touch and in her experience that was not a good idea with people you hardly knew.

"I think if we put our heads together and did some research now we might find something useful now dont you agree gentlemen?"

She did her best pout.

[slowpoke]

Charon frowns "What possible reason do we have to inside of my house? I just told you everything I know! Fine come in! I can't do anything for you!"

((I have to go to a show, sorry guys, i'll be on tonight)

[Alexei Nacharade]

Alexei narrows his eyes and thinks. He looks at Beth briefly.

"We know where you live. We also know where you work. You have no idea who we are. We're going to find you again, and you're going to tell us everything you know about this demon, and plant people. You got all that?" He backs away slowly and tucks the pistol away.

[Beth Bathory]

Beth sees Charons agitation she wonders how much good this may do.

"Perhaps we have been a bit overbearing Dmitri. Maybe we should just ask to borrow some literatire on demons of this kind. Surely that would be ok? Not to invade this gentlemans house at all but just use his books and return them when we are finished since he has been so kind as to tell us all he knows personally? And as you stated we know where he lives and such so we can return the books safely and soundly? That is if you dont trust us."

She looks at Alexei and hopes he understands that rattling Charon may manke things worse if he is on good terms with this Attis person.

[Hilja Kukkanen/Sasha Pisarev]

Maybe I wasn't cut out to clean floors. Maybe I really do a bad job. "Yes, I will work harder. I am sorry. I was going to take the buffer machine out after I was done mopping. Maybe I will have to come in earlier, sir." I explain myself. Really, there is no excuse for this. I feel terribly ashamed.

"I promise not to disappoint you..too greatly." I reply to him. I look down on the floor. It isn't terrible looking, but it must be pretty bad if he had to take his shoes off.

[Calithin Crest]

I put my hands in my pockets and shake my head with a yawn.

"Now now, lets not make promises we can't keep. I wouldn't make a promise like that to you or... Anyone. That is ridiculous."

I lean back against the wall and think for a minute.

"Maybe you're just under motivated... Is that it? It may not seem like janitorial work is important to you, but it is. I would be a janitor and be one proudly, really give myself to it-- if that was the only option open to me. We are all important cogs in the Capitalist machine. Understand?"

[Alexei Nacharade]

Alexei nods slowly in agreement with Beth.
