Keitoleinen learns from some scientists at Sota that Eun has gone off looking for Linnea. He is pleased that Eun has taken the initiative to find his lost worker, and such a well liked one at that. The office just isn't the same without her.
He leaves a message for Eun that he will give her a small raise if Linnea is found and that he will pay any ransom to have her back or to bribe her into returning to work.

Post by Sidapa Amparo on May 20, 2008 11:59:16 GMT -5
Sidapa arrives in Havana, following orders from The Moderator to check out the situation. He usually doesn't get very important missions and he just isn't impressed with this one.
So, he wanders around the Cuban city, trying to make sense of the situation. Shops are being looted and the place seems pretty chaotic. The thing that really strikes him is that everyone seems ugly, poor, and hopelessly unfashionable.
"My God Father Manala, this place is SUCH a dump. Why do they send Sidapa to this horrible place?" He says with a sigh.
There doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary, with the exception of the chaos.

While Hilja is sleeping soundly at Charon's, Sasha appears in Cuba. He decides that he is going to talk to some rebels there to see what is going on and hopefully help to restore some order. He would hate for things to fall under the complete control of the Manalists or worse.
He wanders up to a shop owner who is looking at his looted shop and shaking his head. He decides to ask some questions.
"Can you tell me about the rebellion here?" He asks the man. The man shakes his head for a while.
"Too many groups. Socialists, anarchists, criminals...they call come here...then this. Then they fight and can't get along. It isn't the first time. They don't trust each other...too different." The man tells him.
"And where could I find some of the leaders of these different rebel groups?" Sasha asks politely.
"Some have been murdered. Their butchering each other...political cannibals." The man informs Sasha. Sasha sigh, but the answer is not enough. He doesn't have much time. Eight hours at most.
"Very well, thank you." He says and continues walking.

Post by Peter "Levitas" Barak on May 20, 2008 13:13:32 GMT -5
Peter brushed now white hair out of his eyes. He'd elected to come back via the scenic route: over the water. It took considerably longer than the T-Booth but he'd felt he earned a little time to enjoy the simple things in life, like flying low over the ocean and evading waves.
So here he was, back at the 'Dollar manor', or whatever the proper name for the place was, damp and smelling strongly of salt water, but pleased with his life. He'd done the job perfectly, with any luck everyone was still trying to figure out just why the rebels had all gone nuts and Allmart now owned most, if not all, of Cuba.
Shaking himself slightly to remove some of the excess water he headed into the house to find a change of clothes and perhaps a bed. He hadn't gotten any real sleep for sometime.

While Bambi wanders around, she eventually notices how late it is. Florida was certainly interesting, but there were a lot of people there who gave her the creeps. She had gotten a good amount of loans that day from clients, so maybe she should just wrap it up for the day and return to meet with Dinari Dollar first thing in the morning. Chewing on her lower lip, she stares at the sky for a few moments before deciding on that course.
Taking the teleportation booth back to Switzerland, she groans inwardly upon entering the Global Bank HQ. She had never been outside past nine, much less midnight. Many of the lights in the building were off and it seemed deserted. Shivers crawl up her spine as she clenches her folder to her chest, navigating back to her desk.
Unfortunately, the lack of lights and her paranoia make her more clumsy than usual. She trips over chairs, bumps into desks, and walks into walls, making noises that seemed to echo through the building.

Alrick's eyes suddenly became alert as he heard some banging and crashing echoing through the branch. Reaching out into the hallway he flicked the switch, illuminating the area.
"Hello?" he called curiously.

"Ah-!" With the sudden glare of light, a deer in the headlights expression comes onto Bambi's face. After a moment, her face turns red as she sees just who is standing in the hallway. "Uhm, oh, manager, uhm... I'm sorry, I lost track of time and so I decided to meet with the next client tomorrow morning and I just came back to put these files up and check my computer and uhm I'm sorry I promise I'll never run into work this late again!" She begins to ramble, fidgeting and glancing around.

Sasha talks to other people in Cuba, trying to solve the mystery of what caused everyone to fight. Really, it seems like rebels just turned on each other. But, something does interest him. He learns that one rebel group seems a little more organized and has retreated from the city. The name of this group is Red Infinity. So, while anarchists and some other groups seem to be fighting each other over the murders of members and a bid for power or the destruction of power...one group seems to have opted out of the chaos.
This interests him greatly. There is little hope that he could mediate anything between the fighting groups in the country, not when he has such little time. He isn't sure what he can even do with the information that he has.
He needs to pass it along to someone before he just disappears.

"No worries," Alrick said with a kindly smile. "I was just finishing up here. Although in the future, I do prefer it if you turn the lights on if you need to attend to some work after-hours. While I admire your dedication in returning to work even this late and conscientiousness in saving us electricity, we would far prefer our employees not get hurt in easily preventable accidents."

Bambi blinked before nodding rapidly. "Ah, yes, yes... I apologize. I'll just go put these files in their proper place, then..." She says, nervously smiling back before beginning to carefully make her way down the hallway and past Alrick.

((To Sasha))
A few hours after arriving back in the Cuban City, Ceph's eye had caught the form of someone who didn't seem to be around here.. and ontop of that, he looked to be wandering the area and collecting information.. Casually, he follows the man into a shop and secretively watches him discuss matters with the shop owner, who's merchandise had been completely looted.. Seeing as how this person was able to easily collect information, Ceph didn't see any reason to stop following him.. so he did, trailing him close, but not close enough to hear.. He would have to get the information out of him when he was finished..
When he is sure that the man is done, Ceph casually moves towards him.. when he reaches him there is a small 'Clicking' noise. He now has one of his hidden uzis silently pressed against his back.
"Tell me everything you know." He says coldly, not knowing that this man actually wanted to pass on the information.

Post by Lucia Mellona on May 20, 2008 16:32:06 GMT -5
'Nothing ever changes,' Lucia thought as her eyes finally opened after a fitful night's sleep. They focussed on an empty half of a bed, which she stroked gently and then turned away from. She shook her head as one foot after the other hit the cold floor, jolting her with a small infusion of reality.
No, things change: Things that shouldn't. Just the mundane seemed to continue on in an unending pattern: Wake up, live life, try to sleep it off.
After splashing some cold water in her face and heading to the kitchen, Lucia rummaged through the pitifully empty cupboards. It wasn't as if there was much choice in the matter. She grabbed a container of oatmeal and placed it on the counter. Just once would it be so hard to just have some fruit or other delicious breakfast item miraculously appear in her kitchen? But God saved his miracles for other things these days. She didn't know what, but was sure that since she wasn't seeing any, they must be going on somewhere.

"I am still figuring things out for myself." Sasha replies to the demon. "Anyway, I am not certain if I should tell you. I don't have enough time now...I don't think so anyway." He says to the demon and looks at his watch.
"I will only say that various rebel groups here decided to fight each other for some reason and that one of the groups has fled the capital." Sasha says to the demon, but before he can say anything else, Sasha disappears entirely. He vanishes as if he was never even there.
Hilja woke up.

Anthony woke up on the floor of his laboratory. "What was that?" He wondered. The world he had seen the night before was...perfect...
"I need to change...something." He said. He went over to his evolution vats and began to think of everything he knew involving H.A.O. (Humans of Another Origins)

I go to work the next morning and find myself pretty swamped with progress reports and financial projections that I have to look over. Eventually, I'll try to implement the use of atleast some android labor in our main mines... But that would require going to SOTA... And probably having to deal with my father... Which doesn't sound very good at all... And besides, I have to wait for the loan from Global Bank to come in before looking at any large scale purchases as it is, so there's plenty of time to figure out the most strategic way I can go about all that.
