"That'd be great," she says about sharing a ride after the interview, "But to be completely honest I just got here and don't really have a place to stay." She rubs the back of her neck, a little embarrased. "Do you know of an at least decent hotel around here? Preferrably a place with computer access, as I need to get this typed up."
"So, you find both masculinity and femininity in a woman attractive, what else about a woman's personality and appearence attracts you?" She asks, her pen poised over her paper.

"There is a strip of hotels around midtown, I'm sure we can find one that will take you without a reservation... It still amazes me that as many people visit Helsinki as do. I mean... It's Finland. What's in Finland? Answer: nothing is in Finland. It's crazy."
I shake my head and frown. It's a phenomenon.
"Anyway... I like women who are hard working. That's very important; laziness is extremely unattractive. Someone with depth. Someone respectable. Someone with ambition, focus, drive. Someone who will play with me... I can be very ridiculous and I like people who go along with my ridiculousness. I get so upset when people don't! It completely rains on my parade. People can't take themselves too seriously."
I sip my drink and watch her hand as she writes.
"Oh, and this is important... Someone who understands me. Understanding is the foundation for any relationship."

"Not true. There is totally something in Finland." Tuesday said, and ponders that for a moment. She really can't think of anything, but shes not about to admit that. "I just can't think of anything right now."
She cocks an eyebrow slightly when he says he wants someone to play with him. "Ridiculous little games?" She asks. "Like silly word play? Or some kinky sex game that you expect your girlfriend to go along with?"

"I apologize, I take everything seriously... I really need to learn to take a joke." Bambi comments, wondering how she could even begin to learn to relax more. Once they left the room, her eyes reacted as usual, trying to see everywhere at once. Well, at least she was acting more like herself now, she thought humorlessly.
As they entered the elevator, she simply decided to drop the chairs and nodded softly. Many people could get annoyed at her insistence of things. "Thank you, it's been a pleasure." It sounded lame to her, but she wasn't sure what else to say. Once the elevator doors closed, her eyes swayed up to the numbers. Elevators made her nervous, as if things making her nervous was something new.
She was glad they were only on the fourth floor, but still. Lifting her wrist, she pulled her sleeve back slightly and frowned. Great, her watch seemed to be broken. Well, she needed to stop back at the office anyway she supposed. Shifting her footing nervously, she let her arm drop back to her side and swayed her gaze toward Peter instead of back to the numbers.

"That's a million dollar question: what is there in Finland? If you had asked me that this would have been the hardest interview in the history of the press."
I straighten my tie and cross my arms over my chest.
"I don't know... Just... Play. Someone who can be spontaneous, I suppose, is the more natural way of putting that. I don't like people who can't enjoy life or who are always trying to control everything around them. I need someone who will be sort of a partner in my adventures. I have adventures all the time and it's simply a must. Like... If one day I wake up and I would just rather go sailing than go to work, I need someone to come with me. Or if I'm sitting at dinner and I feel like acting like a ghost, I don't need to be told I'm not a ghost... It's good to have someone who would be like 'Oh, no. It's a ghost. I didn't even know ghosts ate dinner.' Keep things fun."

Amazing things, elevators. Allowed for easier transport of people and items, but had this way of cutting social interaction out completely. No one spoke in elevators, everybody seemed uncomfortable. He'd often wondered about it. When he was younger he'd spend time the malls, riding elevators and watching people, when he wasn't fighting for scraps or a rag to use as a blanket anyway. Strange devices.
"Do you have a card?" He asked, turning his head and, to his surprise, meeting Bambi's eyes. He had his glasses on once more so the connection was blocked somewhat but still, locking eyes with someone had a way of focusing attention and he felt the odd predatory feeling again. It reminded him this was a closed space, where prey couldn't run. He felt his lips curve, forming a smile that perhaps showed too many teeth and held little mirth. He pushed it down, though it took effort, and formed as proper a smile as he could.
"I need to get your number before you go... as you said. I would be a boon indeed to be able to cut through an automated system or machines and poorly informed clerks."

When he talked about acting like a ghost at dinner, Tuesday, once again, laughed. "You really are something, Calithin, I'm not entirely sure what it is, but its something." She shook her head just a bit.
"Besides acting like a ghost at dinner and sailing instead of working, what do you do for fun?"
She breifly flipped back through her notes. She just wanted to ask a couple more business questons, and she'd be finished, actually she had about enough to write a full article on him, but she was enjoying this interveiw too much to end it just yet. And she really did want to put a little something more about the new mines opening.

"Yeah, I'm starting to see how crazy it comes across when you put it down on paper. Oh well. We'll just say... Eccentric."
I smile to myself and cross one leg horizontally over the other, finishing my second or third cola.
"For fun I like to go out. I don't do it too often because I am busy, but when I do I like to really make it an occasion. I like parties. I like dancing. I like to go to the theater. Really, I am drawn to any social atmosphere. I read alot, I listen to alot of music. I like art. I like to do entertaining interviews that make me look crazy. I really try to make the most of my time."

Tuesday nods as she writes, smiling. She takes another sip of her ice cold mocha, before deciding to order herself a small glass of water. She takes a sip of that when it comes.
"Hm, well I think we've just about covered everything." She said, looking through her notes one last time. She lifted her gaze, resting it on Calithin. "Is there anything else you'd like to tell me? About the new mines? Or about your personal life?"

"I just want people to know that Crest Mining fuels the world. We do what we do to keep everything going. We are the motor of the world and we are completely dedicated to the people and their needs. Every action we make is designed to provide a more efficient, better product for the people. Nothing is more important to us than the consumer."
I smile and stand up, stretching a little as I do.
"This has been alot of fun. I've never done an interview like this... I look forward to reading it."

Tuesday finished writing the last few things he had to say, closed her note book, and put it back in her purse, before standing up herself.
"It was fun." She agreed. "This was deffinately one of the most interesting interveiws I've ever done. I look forward to writing it."

Once Peter turned his own eyes to hers, Bambi pictured the red that lurked just behind them. She saw his smile though she kept her eyes locked to his, as if not daring to chance a glance down for a better look. Her right boot begun to slide backward, and only when it bumped the side of the elevator did she realize it. No place to run in an elevator. No escape route. Her heart pounded in her ears and she felt her breathing being thrown off.
Forcing herself to breathe regularly, she replied in as steady a voice as she could. "Yes, you're right. I have the Global Bank cards, I'll just jot my number on the back of one." With that excuse, she finally broke the eye contact to retrieve a card from her bag along with her pen. She turned toward the wall of the elevator, using it as a sturdy surface to write her cell phone number on.
After the last digit, she remained facing the wall for a few moments. She supposed it was one of those foolish "if you can't see it, it can't see you" notions that gave her the urge to not turn back toward him. Knowing she had to either way, she shifted back to face him and hand him the card, forcing a corner of her mouth up in a slight smile.

"I'm glad."
I pay our bill and call a cab to come pick us up at the cafe.
"The cab should be here in a few minutes... We'll find you somewhere nice to stay. Finland doesn't have much but it has nice hotels for the mysterious amount of people visiting the country. I feel strange now... Because you know so much about me and I know so little about you. I usually don't talk too much about myself."

"Alright, thank you so much." Tuesday says about him helping her find a nice place to stay. Shes not exactly sure how much money she has on her, but the way this article is going to look is certainly going to earn her a pretty penny.
"Well, during interviews its more or less standard that I learn much more about the subject than they learn about me." She states. "I could tell you about myself though, if you like."

"I would like that."
I like to learn about other people... The cab pulls up to the curb and I open the door for Tuesday to get inside. Once she does I go around to the other door and climb into the back seat next to her. I'm a little wet from the rain, but not too bad.
"Midtown, please."
I tell the cabbie as he takes off.
"Where are you from, for starters? What do you like to do? How is being a journalist working out for you?"
I'm just a little curious.
