Chapter 7:A Beauty That's Thin, White, and Rich

[Horacio Hatfield]

Horacio is put in the back of a car and driven to a remote location to go into hiding. This is not his final destination, but a safe place for now so he can recooperate. He is given his medicines and expected to recover. As he rests, he thinks of the events in Allwhere, which he still can not make sense of. He will return to Allwhere once he is better, even if it is dangerous.

[Jumala Keitoleinen]

Keitoleinen arrives at Linnea's with flowers and a card. She has not been to work for a few days, but he has overlooked this because of her ordeal. However, he is quite impatient with her behaviors toward him. She is very disrespectful, especially for someone who was rescued from the Manalists through his own money.

He rings the doorbell and waits for Linnea to come down. As usual for him, he is wearing a black suit and ugly green printed tie.

[Eun/Aoi Kiriyama]

"A pretend name? Well.....my pretend name will be.....Catcus...." Eun says back to him. She likes catcus almost as much as she like Cherry Blossoms.

"Sorry. I am not very good coming up nicknames for myself or for anyone....except for Keito."

[Lucio De Saldanha]

"I like that. You're a cute little Cactus." Lucio replies. "And who is Keito? A friend of yours, little cactus?" He asks. He sticks his hands in his pockets and rocks back and forth now as they talk. Lucio is always in motion.

[Eun/Aoi Kiriyama]

"He's my boss at Sota. Keito is alright person unless he is in one of those moods of his." Eun reply quietly.

"And I am not that cute. Catcus are pointy and can hurt people."

[Lucio De Saldanha]

"Oh, do you hurt people?" Lucio asks her.

"I don't really hurt people, but one time I saw a crow fighting another crow over a piece of tin foil and I cawed at them really loud and then they flew away and I took their tin foil, which maybe was mean, but it was very shiny." Lucio rambles.

[Eun/Aoi Kiriyama]

"At times, but not all of time. You shouldn't harassed the birds. They did not bother you."

"Anyway, I have one question for you."

[Lucio De Saldanha]

"Shoot. Ask away. Then I have five questions for you, Cactus." Lucio replies. He knows that she is right about the bird thing, but it was a made up story anyway, so he doens't say anything about it.

"Yeah, bugging birds is..for the birds!" Then he laughs awkwardly and slaps his knee. He decided to mention it afterall.

[Linnea Korpela]

Linnea hears the bell ring and she gets up to look out of the window to see who it is.
"Oh no," she sighs when she sees that its Keito. But she goes downstairs to answer the door.
"Hi," she says almost impatiently. "What do you want?"
She tries to be polite so that he won't lose his cool and that she will have to listen to his rant.

[Bonifaz Artz-Lehrer]

Bonifaz travels to Hungary on behalf of his father. Seeds have been planted and hopefully by the end summer there will be a crop to harvest. until then, the Artz Lehrer pharmacuetical company will have to rely on supplies from Afghanistan, which means dealing with the unsavory Leila the Red Dragon.

Bonifaz meets with some farmers who have experience with poppies. Hungary traditionally is where Europe's medicinal opiates are cultivated to usually be processed in Germany. So, there is a history there.

When Bonifaz feels satisfied with his work for the day, he returns to his hotel.

[Jumala Keitoleinen]

"I want to terrorize you with my sexiness." Keitoleinen replies and hands her the flowers and the card. "Or give you these. I am hoping that you are feeling better since everyone misses you at work and there is a lot of work to be done." Keitoleinen states. He enters the through the doorway, pushing past Linnea so that he is now behind her. "Nice place you have here."

“That’s terrible,” I fake out. “What rebel group, could it have been a direct attack against the manalists? Oh, by the way, ‘name’s Tyler.”

[Linnea Korpela]

"I hope its just the latter," she mumbles as she looks at the flowers and the card. "...thanks."
Linnea can't help but think that the line about everyone missing her is a load of crap.
"Thanks a lot. Its what I can make the most of with what I get," she says as she goes and lays the flowers on the table in the kitchen. She might as well make the best of this utterly uncomfortable situation.

[Hilja Kukkanen/Sasha Pisarev]

"The news didn't say which rebel group was behind it. But, it is implied that it would be one against business." I reply to Tyler.

"I'm Hilja." I state and continue to watch the news. I do hope that Tuesday and Maeve come back soon. Maybe Maeve will have some answers since she lives here.
