"My, you both have very exciting tales." Bambi commented with a soft smile, only glancing up when Tuesday addressed her. "Sailing? No, I can't say I ever have." She answered with a laugh.
She glanced over to Danny, noticing that he seemed unable to find a comfortable position. Maybe he was having similar troubles from on the bench? She frowned worriedly, turning her eyes back to her work.
He may not want someone fussing over him, and she was pretty sure there wasn't really anything she could do. She'd be done with her work soon enough, anyway. She paused in her work to pull up her sleeve. Her work slate would be done by the time she made it back to Switzerland after this.
She just hoped the sun would still be up, she hated being around Global Bank after sunlight hours.

"Its really a wonderful experience. You should try it out some time. I think that being out on the water is one of the most unique and fulfilling journies life and the world have to offer to all creatures, human or otherwise." It only the occured to him that he had made a reference to not actually being human. He kept talking, writing it off by not mentioning it or making a deal out of it; what would they care, anyway, that he wasn't human (jut as long as they didn't know what no kind of human he was). "Just make sure that you find someone who knows what their doing; there're dozens of ways to enjoy the time but the crew must be well-versed or else you're asking for a disaster to happen."
Danny held on to his playful attitude by a thread. The consistant aching in his upper back wasn't so much painful as uncomfortable and annoying, making it hard to carry a conversation. There wasn't anything he could do and every time he tried to sit still, he found himself unconsciously shifting. He'd just say that he had som stiffness in his shoulders, some kin of believeable excuse. An it looked like Bambi might be ready to finish everything up here so he might just use the time as excuse enough to pardon himself out for now, much as he would have liked to propose dinner (he had a suitcase full of millions of rands, after all). Probably for the best, he told himself so he wouldn't feel as bad.

Lena sighed softly as she touched the back of her neck. It still felt so strange, the air hitting places that were once cloaked by her long hair. After she had left Markus at Genetech, she had finally made a decision on an idea she'd been toying with for years. She went to a hair stylist and had her hair cut short.
Her bangs still caressed her jaw, but the back barely covered the upper part of her neck. A part of her felt even more distanced from her Icedic roots, but another part felt revived. Nonetheless, this new hairstyle would allow her to travel in warmer climates for longer.
Of course that wasn't the only reason she had finally chopped her hair, there were a variety. Too many people recognized her nowadays, it took so long to take care of, it reminded her of things that no longer brought comfort...
She shook her head as she focused her icy blue eyes back onto the screen. She had headed to Genetech after her hair cut and checking her phone, which offered no hints. She had had to use a bit of... persuasion on security to allow her to view the tapes.
If the Council asked, she would just say she was doing a thorough investigation on this Tuesday. The tapes had landed her a good lead, she knew who the operative was that had abducted Malak. Unfortunately, that same operative had not been active since the abduction.
The vibration from her phone going off gave her a bit of a start. She had not expected anybody to be contacting her. She pulled the pink thing out of her shorts pocket, flipping it open to see Markus's message. Feeling foolish for forgetting he would obviously be due out about now, she stood.
She had gotten all the information she could from these tapes so there was no point sticking around. She wasn't too fond of the strange labs Genetech held, either. Heading back into the vast hallways she begun to make her way toward the place Markus would likely be. Knowing him, he'd still be sitting there.
Afterward, she'd give Tuesday a ring to ensure her that she was making progress with finding the location of her abducted friend.
Making a few turns, she discovered Markus right where she thought she would. "How did I know?" She stated mostly to herself, one corner of her mouth lifting slightly. He probably would think nothing of her new hair cut besides registering it. With a soft side, she waved him forward. "You can head home now. I'm assuming you have a house, anyway. Do you live in Genetech?"
((Post to Markus.))

"Actually, I just had to mention Chuck Norris and he fled." Tuesday stated, with a slight smirk.
She hadn't caught Danny's reference about not being human, if she would've she probably would've turned a deaf ear to it anyway. She didn't believe in beings that weren't human. In her mind, those stories were just folklore told to scare and entertain small children.
She thought about the security tapes, which were her soul reason in coming here, before she got a little side-tracked. She wondered if Eva had gotten any leads, or if she'd even uphold her end of the deal. Tuesday thought she would, after all Eva'd given her word, and Tuesday trusted that. For some reason, she thought the woman would stay true to it.
She heard someone talking, and brought herself back to the conversation, noticing Danny seemed uncomfortable. She looked to him with concern. "Are you alright?"

"I think I'd be too paranoid to enjoy the sailing." Bambi admitted, smiling weakly as she knew how true it was. She had never learned to swim, but she didn't need to inform them of that. It was rather embarrassing.
She caught the second term that hinted at him not being of human blood, convincing her. She was extremely curious as to what he was but she managed to bite her tongue to keep from questioning him. She stuck the last note onto the last page.
Placing both piles of papers put into their correct folders, she released a relieved sigh. "All done! Thank you so much Tuesday, you have no idea how much I appreciate it." She thanked Tuesday again, smiling warmly.

Markus looked over at Lena, and did indeed register her hair cut, but otherwise did nothing more then mark her new appearance in his memory. He tilted his head when she asked about his residence.
He supposed he generally made his home in abandoned buildings depending on where he was being sent at the time. Killing a resident and squatting there temporarily then moving on was a fairly efficient means of living, and enabled him to move wherever he needed without delay, and also made him harder to pin down. He did indeed spend quite a bit of time in genetech, though. Scientists often called him into run tests and see what further modifications could be made. He wondered dully if they planned on making more soldiers and assassins like him. He found it all irrelevant in the end, anyway.
He stared at Lena as this was pondered. He couldn't answer anyway, so it did make him curious why she'd bothered asking. He thought perhaps she was just musing to herself. She seemed like the musing type.

Lena pursed her lips, staring thoughtfully at Markus. She wasn't sure why she bothered to still talk to him as if he could answer. She wondered what he would say if he could... On second thought, he'd probably just never speak even if he could.
"You know, you're kind of adorable in that whole suit getup." She stated randomly before turning on her heel, deciding he would do as he usually did.
She would get some new needles and liquids, her stock was faltering. Lena usually used injections if lives were required to be put to an end after her spy missions while people slept, preferring the least bloody method. The scientists would probably have her bag ready by now.
Entering the lab where she made the request, she was pleased to see the bag on the table with the name Eva. She grasped the top and nodded to the scientists in the room before exiting. Now, onto the phone call of good will...
She pulled her phone out of her pocket once more, scrolling through her list of contacts to Tuesday's name as she turned down another hallway. Pressing the "Call" button, she stopped walking as she heard a phone go off the moment she had. Pressing the "End" button, the ringing stopped.
That journalist had some serious guts and some serious heart for her friend if she had came back to Genetech. Walking to the door she had heard the noise from, she opened the door without knocking. Sure enough, Tuesday sat at a desk with another woman and some flith covered man.
"You got some guts, girl." She voiced her thoughts as she rose a eyebrow.

Getting to his feet and stretching, Danny gave both women his best smile. Now that Bambi was done with her work, it seemed a good time for him to get out of their hair and let them get back to whatever they'd been talking about before he'd stuck his nose into their business.
"Oh, I'm fine, just a little stiff." He told Tuesday nonchalantly. "I just don't get the right vitamins and minerals, I guess." He picked up his suitcase, checked his pocket to make sure he still had the note with Bambi's name on it. "You don't mind if I go now, ladies? I've got a guinea pig to shampoo in an hour and my suitcase needs a nap." It would have been a hedgehog but he felt they'd been used enough before so guinea pig was his excuse. It didn't seem the time or place to be honest and tell them he had to go drop off his case full of drug money, so he came up with something ridiculous on the fly. "We'll have to do lunch some time."
And when the door opened, he tried to seem like he wasn't there - except to smile at the new woman - as he crept by.

Tuesday smiled, and nodded at Bambi. "It's no problem, really. I never knew filing papers could be so fun." She paused. "Despite the danger."
She was about to say something to Danny, when her phone began to ring, reaching into her purse, she pulled it out to find whoever had been calling her hung up. "Hm. Thats odd."
She was just about to check her missed call lists when she heard the door open, standing up and turning around she saw Eva. She grinned and rubbed the back of her neck a little.
"Well, ya know, I just wanted to see if I could find anything out. And I got kinda side-tracked..." She trailed off and shrugged a little.

Bambi made her goodbyes also as Danny did, handing Tuesday her card with a soft smile. "We should talk more some time. I'm sorry to just sort of flee like this, but I really need to go file these." She nodded goodbye and left the room, rushing carefully back to Anthony's office.
She left the Genetech folder on top of the desk, the stickie notes pointing out every difference from the Global Bank files. Leaving his office once more, she headed to the teleportation booth and teleported back to Global Bank. Deciding to file the papers later as it was after hours, she simply brought the folder back to her apartment with her.
Feeling worn out, she entered her apartment and fell onto the couch. It was nice to be in familiar surroundings again, even if she had met two very nice people today. She sighs softly thinking of their conversation feeling a bit bad that she had not been more opened.

"Hey, personally I think more people need guts." Lena stated, stepping back as two people made their good-byes and left.
Not caring too much who the people were, she turned back to Tuesday. Flashing a smile, she put her hand on her hip and striked a little pose. "What do you think? Am I dashing?" She said playfully, giving a wink.
"But seriously, I already beat you to it. The security tapes gave me the person who abducted your friend. Unfortunately, it may not be too good of a lead since that person hasn't been active lately, but it's better than nothing."
She straightened as gave Tuesday all the information she had. Pausing, she looked unsure for a moment. "By the way, Markus was released. I told him you were off the hit list so I wouldn't be too concerned."

Pocketing Bambi's card, she smiled, and lifted a hand in parting. "We'll do lunch, or have coffee sometime." She said, with a nod, before turning to Eva.
"I think I already proved that I have guts by what I do for a living." Tuesday said, with a slight laugh.
It was then that she actually noticed Eva's haircut. "Oooh, I like it!" She cooed, touching her own locks. She'd thought about getting a haircut for a while there, but really she wanted to grow her hair out more.
She listened to Eva, and nodded, slightly relieved. She hadn't been sure if she would've been able to get a hold of the security tapes. She didn't really know how to go about obtaining them. It also assured her that Eva was going to hold up to her end of the bargain.
"Would Markus know of where they took him?" She questioned, seeing as Markus had been there as well when the attack took place.
She was off the hit list? That was a relief as well, she exhaled. "So its safe for me to return to work, then? I'm not being followed anymore?"
She wondered briefly if perhaps Eva was just putting on a charade, and really planned on killing Tuesday in at the first chance she got. But she reasoned that Eva'd had multiple chances to do away with her if that was her objective...but what if she was really just going to press her for information? Tuesday wasn't one to be paranoid, but at that moment she realized how very alone she was with Eva in this room...
She shook her head, ridding herself of the thought, she trusted Eva. She'd helped her out back at the warehouse, and was now helping Tuesday find Malak, she was being silly for even thinking that Eva would betray her...wasn't she?

Danny didn't back track on his way to the teleportation booth, he continued exploring Genetech but did so in a timely fashion on route to the building Fat Boy had told him about.
It didn't take long to get out of Genetech and be on his way back to Afghanistan. There was no trouble at all to the deal, everything had gone off without a hitch as he had planned it. He felt a stab of professional satisfaction and had a big smile on his face as he deposited the suitcase with the money where it had to go. He removed a few layers of clothing and found a quiet place to sit and think, taking some time for himself as he waited for the next job. Usually he had work piling up, running drugs and collecting on installments, so he appreciated his luck for a bit of 'me time.'

"I suppose you're right. You're the first person I've ever heard of to set up an Invisible Hand operative. That should give you some bragging rights."
Lena laughed, being careful with her wording. You never knew the kind of security a place had hiding. "But yeah, you should be all right. Just don't go around giving people the idea you're a rebel. That attracts all kind of unwanted attention."
She hoped Tuesday would catch onto what she was telling her. Basically to be more careful. She warmed at Tuesday's compliment about her hair, idly tucking one side behind one of her ears.
"They didn't leave together, so probably not. I'm sure it won't be too hard to find Malak's location. I'd figure it'd be safe for you to return to work but just keep your guard up."

Tuesday smiled, nodding a little. She was almost positive that she could trust Eva, but for some reason she couldn't get rid of that nagging voice in the back of her head. It was probably just because she was in the same league as Markus.
"After this, I was planning on staying on my guard." She said, with a slight chuckle. She was going to start printing her articles under an alias as well, it was stupid of her not to do so before.
"Thanks so much for all your help. You have no idea how much this means to me."
