Kizu Sensou sat in her lab which had a large metallic table enveloped by a plastic curtain and metal tables. Kizu stared infront of her computer screen with Hex no more than a foot behind her as always. He had his hand on her shoulder as she read some newsletter genetech had sent out to all the employees about smeet. She was so tired of that stuff.
One thing that was for certain was she was glad her tours had ended. She had been taken aback when that one group had asked all of those questions reguarding the man with the swords and the mask. She had lied. And had done a fairly good job at it she had thought. But she knew him. She knew him well. ANd knew he would be back sometime for more tests and checkups. To thinkthey had found her patient. And had made him angry enough to hurt him but for what? He would never say.
She however couldn't wait until Markus' next visit.

Markus, having just recovered from a vicious assault and returned to genetech, strode into Kizu's lab purposefully. His lost tonfa blades had yet to be replaced but most the damage had been repaired, and once again no trace of skin showed beneath his suit. He stood in front of Kizu, his gas mask covered head every now and then displaying a cautious glance around.

Kizu smiled at Markus and usher him to sit if he so desired.
"Markus so good to see you. Well perhaps not so good since it means you probably had damage. But good none the less. I got a look at some of the tests that had been done the last time you were here and I was very impressed with the bonding technique they decided to use with the new mechanical implants. You are doing well?"
She saw Hex become very cold and still. It always amused her how both men were silent and deadly. Hex watched Markus carefully always aware of him. Kizu moved closer to Markus unafraid of him. If he wanted her dead she would have been already she figured Hex or no Hex.
"Markus the other day you were a very popular person in the lab tours. Many were asking questions about a man in a mask with swords. It seems someone was attacked here and then their friends came here to ask staff questions. I feigned the dorky scientist too absorbed in my work to know anything outside of the lab. Just wanted you to know."

Markus tilted his head, listening to her story obediently before inclining his head in a gesture of acknowledgment towards her feigning ignorance about him.
His gas mask spectacles flicked towards Hex, but only briefly. Just long enough to note his position in relation to Kizu. He oriented back on the scientist, staring patiently.

"They gave me information on how to contact them. Would you want that info I wonder? I will not pretend with you and say that this does not worry me. But I do know that you are a valuable asset to us scientifically. I want to be able to help if I can. More than just patching you up and running tests if you need."
She looks at him then sighs.
"But I am content to just run tests since it is so fascinating to do so on you. Your systems are remarkable you know. And its nice to have someone listen to me...some one other than Hex."
She smiles at him.

Markus tilts his head at Kizu but otherwise makes no further movement. He folds his hands behind his back and stands up straight, awaiting some instruction.

"Sorry I babble sometimes. I guess if you wanted to find someone you could huh? Ok go ahead and get on the table Markus and we will begin the first round of tests. I have ordered a new set of Tonfa blades for you and someone will be in with them shortly, when they arrive we can focus on acquity but until then I was wanting to go over some background information if you don't mind? Some of the information we need to confirm for our records."
She moves to the metallic table pulling back the curtain lowering her eyes as she set out sterile insruments, some gauze, medications, and a few test tubes. She bite her lip as Hex moved to her right making sure he could keep Markus in his sights and watch Kizu at the same time.

Markus obediently glided over to the table and set his hands on the side. He looked at Kizu then lifted himself onto the table and regarded the ceiling, silent as always. He wondered dully what information it was that she wanted to review. Something regarding his past that he could barely remember anyway? He supposed it was irrelevant.

Kizu picked up the file that lay on the table. She knew Markus but also knew that one false move with his suit was also a grave mistake. In the past years they had made modifications so that when they did their tests they could do so without having to disturb the suit at all only having to insert the needles into specially designed vaccum holes made directly into the suits joints. And when needing tissue samples small flaps with the same properties could be pulled up but the mechanisms were so well hidden only the scientists who had access could find them. Hell she bet even Markus himself might not even be able to find it.
She moved to him with the first syringe to extract a blood/tissue sample saying out of habit...
"This might pinch for a second. I have to go in deep for this first extraction. Your file says you were born in Helsinki. Becoming a soldier once you were of age which is how you volunteered with Genetech. Your genetech makeup is in a lot of our prototype soldiers did you know?. Hell Hex over there has a bit of your genetic makeup. He is one of our super soldiers but he did not turn out the way they wanted him to. But I get off topic. Please turn to your side the first extraction comes from the hip socket..."

All of a sudden Duddy flung open th edoor and burst in the room. "Hey is this the Bathroom?" he asked almost out of breathe. "I really have to take a whiz." After realizing this definitly was NOT the bathroom, he closed the door and ran away eagerly seeking the confines of a urinal.

Markus didn't seem to notice the intrusion as he did as Kizu instructed, moving somewhat onto his side. He supposed if he were still completely human he might have found it odd, even intrusive that genetech had used his genetic makeup in other experiments, but at this point Markus had learned to pay these sorts of things no mind. He kept the goggles of his mask focused on the wall straight ahead.

"What the hell was that?"
Kizu shook her head as she slid the syringe deeply into the socket of Markus' hip. She felt it give and pulled back on the plunger and watched as the barrel filled with blood/tissue. She pulled it out and the suit resealed itself. She placed the needle into a test tube which the vaccum pulled the tissue into the tube and she put a label onto it.
"Markus you can lie back on you back now. I see in the chart your left leg was lost in a mission along with your lower jaw and this same mission is why you have to wear the breathing unit you wear now. I see that your gas mask or breathing unit is in cooperation with your lungs. These particular mechanics have been checked but your lung tissue needs to be evaluated because your lungs are about one hundred years old and their condition wont hold up forever and this will not be a pleasant check. I will need to take the sample from between the ribs beside of the sternum. This syringe is a bit bigger than the last."
When she takes it out the needle is half a foot long.

Markus once more moves flat on his back, regarding the rather large needle impassively. This wasn't the first time such tests had been run on him, and his nerves were so old that he barely felt pain anymore.

As the needle slids between the ribs there is a crinching sound. She carefully guides it to where his remaining lung tissue lies. She has to be careful because whats left is fused with machines and mechanics and has fiber optics and wires throughout. A pathway has been marked for her on his chart that is safe for him and for her so she follows and takes her sample and quickly gets out. She breathes a quick sigh of relief. Having to go so deep into his chest always made her nervous. Her pager went off and she checked the msg.
"Your Tonfa are on the way. When they arrive we can do reflexes and aquity. I suppose it will be easier with them thats why I am waiting. One last thing. I am trying to develop something for your voicebox so that you could make some communications. Not so much as you talking but perhaps you using it to make words for you using your brain. Its a ways aways mind you There must be so much going on inside of your mind. I feel that a mental evaluation would benefit you grately. I know most of us who have followed your case haven't given a damn but well your mind must be fragmented and in tatters. Your psychosis must be reeling with mania and depression. Or has it all subsided? Do you even remember anything of your past? Markus, do you remember your family? Or has everything we have done to you over these last hundred years erased it all?"
Kizu sat on the stool beside of the table with him.

Markus sat up on the table and tilted his head at her. It was true, Markus had forgotten much of his past. Fragments sometimes bled through his subconscious, but otherwise he paid it little mind. He focused a little, trying to recall something...
Something blinked in his mind briefly, but it soon slipped away. He look at Kizu and waited expectantly.
