Mind Reading: Anneli can read other minds at will. She can only hear the current though going through one's mind. It's possible to block her simply by clearing your mind, or thinking of something simple, like a sponge.

Shape-Shifting: Anneli can change her appearence at will. She can change the shape of her facial features, skin tone, her eye color, hair length and color. But, for some reason, cannot change her height or weight.

Appearance: Anneli is a petite woman, standing at only about 5'3. She has a flat stomach, and average sized chest and hips. Her legs are toned and muscular, and seem long for her small frame. She has thick, wavy, sandy brown hair that reaches the middle of her back. She usually wears it up in a pony tail, or some kind of twist, though she likes keeping it down. Her wide eyes are bright blue and framed by thick dark lashes. She has a thin face with high cheekbones. Her skin is usually tanned, and her cheeks are rosey. Her lips are full and pink, her teeth white and straight. Most think of her as beautiful.
Though shes small, Anneli is powerful for her size. On a closer evaluation of her, one would find that she had developed sinewy muscles. She has a strong, capable body even if it doesn't appear so on first glance.
She usually wears clothing that shes comfortable in, and that fits to her shape well. She likes looking nice, but doesn't have the money to afford the clothes she'd like to be able to, so she makes due with what she has. She likes to appear professional, and when she has a job that requires her to do so, she does. She usually dresses as she needs to for whatever her job entails.
Personality: Anneli is, in a word, good. She is honestly a sweet natured person, despite her job. Shes selfless, and puts the needs of others above her own. She doesn't like showing weakness.
She is normally polite, intelligent, and organized. She faces challenges head on, and always does her best. Extroverted and outgoing, Anneli isn't afraid of much, besides failure, she likes taking risks and feeling endangered.
Anneli has trouble when it comes to being punctual. Whether it be an appointment, class, or anything else for the matter, she's always stumbling in late. Especially to something that was supposed to happen early in the morning, she'll run in a half an hour to an hour late, sometimes with her hair slightly touseled, always with some elaborate explaination as to why she just couldn't have been there any earlier. Her stories are usually long winded ones, that are highly entertaining to most, she ends them with a sweet as honey smile and gentle lift of the shoulder, an expression that almost always leads to forgiveness. Almost.
Anneli hates being wrong, and makes sure that things are never seen to be her fault. She's good at twisting tales to make her the victim, and to put the other person in the wrong(even if it was really the exact opposite) and at the end, even the other person is convinced that its all their own fault, and no blame should be placed on Anneli.
She could probably get away with almost anything, due to the fact that she dazzles people. She puts an innocent look on her face, or bites her lip and looks troubled, and other people immediately feel the need to put things right for her. This isn't something she does maliciously or purposely, it just happens.
Story: Anneli Katariina Laukkanen doesn't remember much of anything from her early life. She doesn't know where, or when she was born. She has no recollection of where she was raised, or what she enjoyed doing. She doesn't know if she had any pets, or any friends. Or who her parents are. All she knows about her parents, both angels, is that they were both killed by Father Manala, long ago. Father Manala should've killed her to, but she pledged her allegance, and was spared.
The small woman, at the time a young girl, was given to a pair of Manalist priests to be raised in the ways of Father Manala. Anneli accepted these beliefs as her own, and was rewarded for her obediance by being educated, which she appreciated immensely...even if she was often late to class.
Three or four years ago, she graduated high school, and was unsure of where her future headed. She was still living with the two Manalist priests who had raised her, who were pushing her to become a priestess, like them, or a business owner. Anneli had no head for business, nor did she want to spend her life in a church.
One day, a labor contractor came to call, looking for people to join the Invisible Hand. Anneli had heard of them, and was interested. The powers she posses are useful for the jobs she does, and she is a skilled fighter though she had no prior experience.
She does her job well, and is still faithful to the Manalist religion. Anneli is not mediocre, nor is she one of the Blessed, though she could probably be among them if she wanted, and perhaps one day, she will be. But for now, she's happy where she is.
