Appearance:
Kaschei has dark brown vavy hair and burgundy colored eyes. He usually wears a silk burgundy shirt with black pants. He is medium height and slightly muscular build. He has a wide nose and thick eye brows.
Personality:
Kaschei is cold, cruel, and inhumane. He obsesses over power and control. He becomes violently angry when things don't go his way. He is impatient and usually angry. He is hard to deal with most of the time. He is very concerned with superstition and the future.
story:
Kaschei Bessmertny was a human sorcerer with god like powers. He was a wicked old man who did various cruel deeds in Russia's earlier history. He especially liked to abduct pretty young women and keep them hostage.
Times changed and so did the sorcerer. He watched the world change in many ways over the years..from one government system to the next. He kept a low profile during most of these years. That time was spent increasing his power and searching for important magical artifacts. He could not stop the process of his aging, even though his own power prolonged his life. Frustrated with his old, feeble body, he sought a new one. With the help of his young assistant Maria, the old Kaschei went out looking for a new, younger body. He found this in the human form of a dying forest demon. He asked the demon if he could trade bodies. Since the demon was dying, he figured this would be fair enough.
In the new body, Kaschei was younger and stronger, but it should be noted that he did not have access to the demon's forest powers and could not even turn into the demon's true form. Instead, he remained in the form that the demon was in when he was dying. (This may all sound confusing, but, it is important as it relates to a character in the comic)
After this exchange for a healthier body, Kaschei decided to become a little more visible. He married his assistant Maria, and he bought some antique shops in Russia. He used the shops to sell magical items to the Manalists, or anyone with enough money to buy his items. This business venture was not very lucrative, but it did give him the idea that perhaps he could make more money selling drugs, guns, or even slaves.
As such, he became very involved with the world's opium trade in particular. He owns the only labs in the world for processing it into heroin, since other labs were destroyed by the Anti Drug Commission. He has a very good business relationship with Leilah the Red Dragon, from whom he purchases raw opium.
He is a powerful figure who the Anti Drug Commission fears going after directly. However, the Anti Drug Commission does go after those who work for him. There is a measure of safety for his employees in his mansion or when he is around, since the Anti Drug Commission wouldn't dare step on his property.
Since Kaschei can time travel, he often travels back in time to pick up rare drugs that are no longer available in the modern world.
Crime however, is not Kaschei's passion. He is most interested in becoming a God himself. He envies the Gods and would like to be a human turned deity himself.
He hopes to someday be the next Father Manala, or perhaps do away with the religion entirely.
