To simplify travel in the world, characters can use teleportation booths. Teleportation booths look like phone booths, but the booths are often constructed with an art deco style. They are sometimes sleek and black with silver or red doors and thin stained glass windows. Sometimes there are turqiouse or ivory, with pillars and shell like swirls. Care is taken in their appearance.
Teleportation booths are used mainly by the wealthy, since they are expensive to use. A yearly passcode can be purchased for use of the booths, which are located all over the world. Every city has a teleportation number, which is dialed into the booth and the person is transported to that place. The booths are less ideal for more remote regions.
Manalists, who may not be as wealthy, are given passcodes by the temple, which has a contract with the creator of the booths, a company called New Objectives. New Objectives is an Australian company and teleportation booths are their only product.
Poor people generally do not use teleportation booths. However, some old, out of date models are installed in some cities and can be used for a smaller fee. These are dangerous to use and often fail, resulting in the death of the traveler. Rich people stay away from the outdated ones reserved for poor people.
