The rpg features some fictional diseases, so, I will take a moment to explain them.
Annette Rosenthal Disorder- A disease created by Genetech to be given to those with credit problems. The Creditors infect people with serious credit problems with this disease. The disease causes a person's body to weaken, becoming frail until they can no longer walk or move. It also causes a person's hair to slowly turn pink.
Gray Sickness
Gray sickness is a disease caused by over exposure to Manala crystals. Most miners get Gray Sickness after only 10 years of mining. The disease causes a painful premature aging of the body. It causes muscles to atrophy, skin to wrinkle, the body to become more fatty and saggy, gray hair, and lost teeth.
HGTV
An STD created by Genetech for the Manalists to kill of homosexual/transgendered people. It is similar to AIDS. It causes painful purple sores to develop all over the body. Most people die of unrelated illnesses that they are more susceptible to with a weakened immune system.
Cat Flu
A potentially pandemic flu created by Genetech for SOTA.
It is spread by cats and causes respiratory problems and extreme fatigue. The very young and elderly are most at risk. In human to human cases it is transmitted by sneezing, saliva, feces, nasal secretions, and blood.
There was a small outbreak in Ireland when a lab cat escaped.
Artz Lehrer also has a sample of the strain, which they obtained from the Ireland outbreak. They have developed a vaccine for it, though Sota is not aware of that.
