Name: Ivan (pronounced ee-vahn) Koporb
Age: 39
Race: Caucasian
Fantasy Race Undead?
Ethnicity:
Nationality: Russian
Economic Class: Middle Class
Gender Identity: Male
Sexuality: Asexual
Political Belief: Communist
Religious Belief: Occult
Organization: None, works with Jack on occasion
Occupation: Self-Proclaimed Lord of Gray Zone
Skills:
Assassination: Ivan likes to make sure nobody knows it when he's hungry, so he specializes in silent weapons such as old-style pistols with silencers, wire and small blade weapons
Impervious to Pain: Being dead does have its advantages, such as not being able to realize you've been wounded and ignoring fatigue which allows displays of strength normally believed to be super human.
Aggressive: Ivan likes to make sure that he has friends in the right places and that any of those friends beneath him know their place. He doesn't always know how to assert himself as useful, but he does know how to remind someone they'll regret making an enemy of him.
Acrobatics: Before he "died" Ivan enjoyed practicing gymnastics which assisted in creating a fairly lithe body capable of bending in many strange directions now that he is dead. He is also better at leaps than a normal human being or zombie.
Planner: Ivan likes to make sure things go his way, so he makes plans frequently until he comes up with the closest thing to fool proof for his day going well.
Anatomy: Being a Cannibal is not always an easy job, so to make it easier during life Ivan developed a study for the anatomy of all beings around at the time, catching subjects from time to time so that he could sample and critique each body part to see what meat was best to go for first.
Weaknesses:
Unaware: Due to his inability to feel pain, Ivan has a tendency to lose track of things that may come off. Damage to the spine may also cripple him until the offending thing is removed.
Brains: Just like a regular Hollywood zombie, the only way to kill Ivan is to shoot him in the head, this might be considered a strength to most, but not when somebody knows where they're supposed to be pointing their gun.
Short-Fuse: Due to being a proud, aggressive son of a bitch Ivan is susceptible to fits of rage, which send him into "zombie mode" where he stops being able to communicate for a time and simply attempts to eat anyone within his reach to tear apart.
Cannibalism: Although there is no actual real need for it, Ivan suffers from hunger constantly, one of the few natural instincts left in a zombie. He can ignore the hunger by keeping himself occupied or learning.
"Stand Alone": Though there may be others like Ivan in the Gray Zone, the only myth about zombies is that they have a disease to spread to those bitten. So being Lord of the Gray Zone is a rather lonely life.
Order!: If Ivan's planning fails too many times, he becomes incredibly irritable and his temper gets even shorter than it normally does.
Powers (Does being undead count?)
Weapon Ivan has horded a small cache of different weapons that have silencer attachments, primarily pistols, assault rifles and two sniper rifles. He also keeps some assassin's wire in his pocket for anything spur-of-the-moment and a pair of tonfa blades similar to a night stick.
Appearance:
Ivan wears the business suit of a man you would expect to work in the Mafia. Sometimes he wears dark glasses that help keep him from being noticed right away as a zombie.
Personality: Ivan is a patriotic Russian Communist. He loves his nation and wishes to one day restore it to its former glory under a new regime of the undead. His temper is short and his reasons to get angry are many. Ivan's fixation with planning makes him obsessive compulsive with many things.
story: Ivan was born and raised in Russia during a time that the Gray Zone was just considered a bad stunt by some idiot Manalist trying to control the weather. He was often unpleasant around other children. He was always a biter, though it was misunderstood for part of his aggression rather than developing cannibalism. Not until Ivan was eight did he finally kill another child and eat their body.
After his first murder, Ivan was taken from his single father and sent to a prison that experimented on some of the inmates while merely tormenting the rest. Ivan believes this is how he "survived" the Gray Zone. The Gray Zone reached the asylum twelve years after Ivan's incarceration, the staff jumping ship and escaping to leave the inmates and experiments to die with the rest of the Zone's occupants. Ivan awoke over a month later, only able to moan and make simple motions with his body at first. Then he learned how to use his lack of feeling to dig open the stone wall and escape.
He wandered Russia's Gray Zone for some time until he found his way as far west as he could go without leaving his "home" of the vortex. When he learned about Manalists ruling so much, he scoured as much of Russia as he felt able to search for others changed like him as well as weapons.
Ivan now has a small following in the dead, which he is having difficult training in the way he was able to teach himself. So far he has only managed to teach them how to run without stumbling and how to manage small arms fire. Guns bigger than a regular pistol normally have too much recoil for his underlings to keep steady and hit something with. Ivan likes to visit Europe, sometimes with his "horde" and sometimes alone to feed and enjoy his "immunity" to natural death.
