Name: Benjamin “Niel” Samuelson
Age: 39 years of age
Race: Caucasian
Nationality: Norwegian
Economic Class: Working Class
Gender Identity: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Political Belief: Capitalist
Religious Belief: Manalist
Organization: Manalists - The Wrath
Occupation: Religious soldier; contract killer
Skills:
Anti-Manala weaponry training; parkour; martial training; conventional weapons training; fluent in English, French, German and Russian; quick draw; knife combat; bladed weapons training; extensive and in-depth list of contacts through the world in almost every field and facet of society
Weaknesses:
1. Authority Complex— As part of the child soldier program, Niel lives and breathes by the Manalist chain-of-command. Any recognized authority figure within the Church will find Niel a willing candiate to fulfill any arrangement. The actual Manalist chain-of-command as observed by the Church itself may only be guessed at by the casual believer.
2. Fanatical— Legacy of the program, Niel is set into a "white-and-black" frame of mind where beings are either Manalists or rebels with no other exceptable options.
3. Impulsive Violence— Carefully hidden from his guardians though it was, eventually it came to light that Niel had an inescapable behavioral propensity for sudden violent outbursts. Thought to be a manifestation of suppressed emotion, researchers found that Niel's mind is wired to send sugesstions of violence at (despite their best efforts to indentify) random. Whenever an impulse triggers, Niel unconsciously lashes out in a physcial manner.
Powers:
1. Tireless— Niel does not require any extended rest to maintain one hundred percent capability (he doesn't sleep) nor does he require a short rest after exherting himself (he doesn't get tired out).
2. Sixth-Sense— the ability to discern whether a being is not human
Weapon: Anti-Manala rifle; anti-Manala collar; high-powered custom-tailored sniper rifle/ optical zoom attachment; .44 automatic pistol; combat knife; custom, high-caliber one round/ three-round burst carbine; a whole arsenal of many and varied conventional and anti-Manala firearms and ammunition as well as stockpiled explosives and launchers (all contained within a safehouse bought and kept up by Niel)
Appearance: Niel, numerous high-ranking members of the Church believe, should be the poster-boy for Manalism. Breaking the mold at six feet, eight inches in height, Niel's hair is crisp, light in coloration and kept short and clean. His jaw is strong, his chin wide and his bone structure solid. His brow is constantly furrowed and his eyes shine piercingly bright. His age is often mistaken as much younger because of his remarkable health. Niel’s musculature is firm throughout his whole frame, with no excess body fat and he is casually tanned, which further accentuates his impressive musculature. Manalist devotional tattoos move in scrollwork from his hands to his shoulders and across his chest, creating whorls and patterns that strongly suggest fearsome boars and wild pigs.
Leaning toward clothing that is closely fitted and comfortable, giving full mobility and range of motion, Niel remains no stranger to formal wear. Niel is always accompanied by some form of Manalist devotional trinket such as a ring or necklace.
Personality: As must be communicated beyond the shadow of a doubt, there is no single thing in the whole of existence that is more grand or splendid than humanity. At the core of every belief or action, Niel believes in no greater idea than that humanity is superlative; there is nothing greater than being human.
By nature Niel is a soldier. He's stoic, close-lipped and obedient to authority figures. As far as tasks go, Niel stands ready to preform any task which will bring glory to himself and to Manalism without remorse or hesitation. That being addressed, it is important to note that Niel has many - what some might call "more human" - qualities. He is completely capable of jovial and/or casual interactions and easily picks up on subtle, non-vebal indications. He is not easily embarassed and is sure to be always aware of the social norms so as to avoid awkward situations. All the same, Niel is a wind-up toy soldier. He's just one that does an amazing job of seeming like he's not.
Due greatly to his upbringing, Niel has developed an interesting quirk which is not uncommon in reactionary, fundamentalist sects: Niel feels compelled to cleanse the ranks of impurity with extreme prejudice. Only a direct standing order from the Master has managed to prevent Niel from executing a full-scale inquisition into the Church. As events stand, Niel treats laxity harshly and has a quick eye in finding the unobservant, punishing as severely as he is able under the circumstances.
Another result of his conditioning, it is Niel's primary duty to the Church as to the elimination of unnatural beings (any and every race that is not human) and this behavior once lead to many deaths within the Church until another standing order was handed down from the Master to curtail the rising death toll.
Story: He was born Benjamin Samuelson and was also born to a program run by reactionary Manalists to condition him and other boys to grow into the absolute pinnacle of human perfection at a young age to act as child soldiers - he was "Niel".
Niel was exceptional, quickly outpacing children ten years his senior physically and in devotion to the teachings of Manalism. He embodied everything that the program sought to create - devoid of emotion and mercy, obeying all orders to the letter, he still managed to think and react in a creative and inventive manner (in many cases, children conditioned similarly exhibited pack were too subservient and found to break with core Manalist teachings). At nine years old (three or four years ahead of schedule), Niel was contracted abroad as a soldier due to the exceptional outpacing of his peers and his own willingness to serve.
For nine more years, Niel was sent across the globe to assasinate rebels, business leaders not aligned with the Church and key members of the Manalist hierarchy who had broken with dogma. Without remorse, single-handedly, Niel murdered tens of thousands of men, women, children and non-humans and spread his name throughout the world. There are a number of myths, tall-tales and ghost stories told in the modern day that are based around Niel's actions as a child soldier. There was once talk of officially making Niel a member of the Blessed which turned into a request to appear before the Master. Though not ever officially recognized, Niel was assured that he would belong as the greatest human to ever be named Blessed. With this to bolster his morale, Niel redoubled his efforts.
At age twenty-one, now an adult, Niel was discharged from services as a child soldier but continued to serve the Church at large (meaning any open believer of Manalist might have access to his number) as a contract killer, drawing up a reputation as a man who could get the job done right. His success was fenomenal and the name "Niel" was known throughout the world, if you knew where to look. He was the bogeyman of the unobservant with rebels on every continent, in every city and in every standing in society, fearing the day they met the man named "Niel". However, after nine different summary (and highly public) executions, an appeal was made to the Master and Niel no longer murders Manalists simply for perceived blasphemies. For two more years the work as a contract killer continued until Niel became a member of the Wrath whereupon he gained access to an arsenal of anti-Manala weaponry and official assignments as a member of the Wrath took priority over contract jobs. But, after slight plateauing, the contract killing business continued to thrive.
Now, though, non-humans, no matter who, no matter where, were afraid. Extremely influentional members of the Church as well as a number of business owners were brutally eliminated (to Niel, the order to not exterminate Manalists did not extend to non-humans, seeing as they were not humans). And though not a single death could be connected to Niel, the Master still thought it practical to forbid Niel from killing non-human members of the Church.
And now thirty-nine years old, Niel has yet to show signs of slowing down in any way. He has only become more physcially active and youthful as the years pass by and he has begun to foster ambitions of obtaining membership as a priest and officially moving further up in the Manalist chain-of-command. After all, the Book of Manala demands ambition from the Blessed and commands that the faithful show no subservience even to Father Manala or the Master themselves. So, why not do exactly that? Should the current Master die, the Church would need only the best to take the stage and lead. And nowhere within the Book does it attest as to Father Manala's immortality . . .
Niel has great ambitions, innumerable connections and contacts and, lest we forget, is the single greatest human being to ever grace the world with his foot steps.
