Name: Virgil Evans
Age: 39 yrs
Race: Caucasian
Fantasy Race Human
Ethnicity: Canadian
Nationality: Canadian
Economic Class: Impoverished
Gender Identity: Male
Sexuality: Asexual
Political Belief: Nihilism
Religious Belief: Determinist
Organization: Genetech
Occupation: Lab rat
Skills:
Virgil is hyper adaptive and copies the actions of those around him. He doesn’t retain this information long but is able to repeat anything he experiences with near perfection.
Virgil is adept at assuming language. He can store meaning and inference very quickly allowing him to speak languages he doesn’t know after listening to it spoken for a short time. Of course, he spokes in the same gibberish as he does when he speaks English.
Weaknesses:
-Virgil’s mind is a chaotic mess and he suffers from several unique mental conditions in addition to several recognized ones. Primary among his classified problems is the tendency to enter a fugue state when presented with Red Leaf. Sensory perception of leaves, in any form (a picture of them, the smell, a simulation of their texture), triggers the state. In this state he becomes nonresponsive to physical actions, even ones directed against him, and responds to verbal commands or questions with strange statements. The state persists for between thirty seconds and an hour after the Red Leaf is removed.
-Virgil was removed from society in general during his teen years. He is socially and mentally crippled from thirty years of isolation and experimentation.
Powers
Prophecy: Virgil makes predictions, presented in strange phrases. How he came to possess this power is one of the mysteries Genetech has been attempting to extract from him.
Inhuman Flesh: Virgil is no longer really human. When harmed he leaks a translucent green ooze rather than blood and tends to quickly recover from flesh damage. He demonstrates remarkable regenerative ability, even from wounds fatal to humans. How his body functions is this state is unknown.
Weapon None.
Appearance: Virgil is very tall and very pale. His body is built strong and dispite his years of containment he possesses a nearly perfect (and functional) muscle build. His brown hair is shoulder length and fine, hanging around his face. His skin is covered by thousands of scars, criss-crossing his whole body. These scars seem to be in a state of flux, changing positions, as his body tries to put itself back into the proper order.

Personality:
Virgil’s personality is a scrapped together collection of his observations of the world around him. He had assembled something of an underlying persona based on his teenage experiences and the mannerisms absorbed from his keepers but this is layered deep under his psychosis and delusions. If one could relieve Virgil of these mental problems he would be a rather confused, naïve, young adult. As it is he is a reflection of every staff member whom he has ever come into contact with.
Story:
As a child Virgil lived in a small town in northern Canada. Early in his life, during the Crimson Birch Beetle epidemic, his town was one of those that benefited from the special Red Leaf trees. He and his friends used to play in the trees, back before the Manalists and Genetech know of their properties.
When Red Leaf’s special abilities where realized Virgil and most of the population his town where relocated away from the trees. All was well and good for a few years until people started dying. Teenagers and children, originally from that small town, began dropping dead for no reason. They would suddenly begin screaming about strange horrible things then collapse. Some just died, others jabbered for days of their visions.
Genetech took everyone who was in contact with the victims into custody and attempted to discover the cause. It was eventually determined that children who had been in prolonged contact with the Red Leaf trees in their early stages had developed a dependency. Enough of the drug properties of the leaves could be absorbed through the skin that the victims had developed immunity and reliance in one go. All of them accept Virgil.
Presented with a mystery, Genetech reported their results but that, sadly, all of the children had died. And so Virgil went into his cage and the tests began.
For thirty years Virgil has been a test subject for just about everything Genetech has produced. Early on they tested Red Leaf on him because he seemed to have immunity to its effects. It was eventually discovered that his anatomy had mutated radically but without a control those studying him couldn’t be sure if this was a progression of his original condition or an effect brought about by their continued tests.
He appeared to be impossible to kill by conventional methods and was “murdered” three times under lab conditions: poisoning, massive trauma, and repeated stab wounds. Though damaged, he recovered from each.
After his “deaths” Virgil became reacting differently to the Red Leaf. Any amount of the substance caused him to mentally shut down and respond with strange phrases. After recording and analyzing these statements it was eventually concluded that he was having visions of distance events, much in the way at Manalists supposedly receive visions from the Red Leaf.
Every since Virgil has been kept in the same contained area and monitored. His visions and ramblings are recorded and experiments continue on him to this day.
