Chapter 20: The Eyes of God

"I guess we have no choice, but go to that university....." Yasmin reply.

"But.........you shouldn't be afraid. You are an adult. Be a man, Lucio."

Darian during this seemingly futile mission, breifly considers a career change as he downs his sixth mecha and narrowly avoids geting vaporized by an onslaught of manala energy blasts. To make matters worse, androids enter the fray to make it all the more troublesome. Just a glance at the humanoid looking automotons was enough to send a shiver down his spine at the thought that one of them could replace him.

This brief lapse in emotion was soon replaced as he drew his Exitus pistol and fired several high calibur rounds into the heads of incoming androids. Clearly they had not been designed with more advanced sensors; otherwise this would have been more trouble then it was worth. The mechas however, were more elaborate and as such could detect him which made the act of destroying them hazardous.

SOTA military personnel were finally on the scene, rolling out in specially equipped tanks that fired blasts of manala energy which punched holes in the thick armors. The mechas of course retaliated with their own manala energy cannons, resulting in a trade off of firepower. Thanks due to his involvement, it was looking slightly better for SOTA. "They can handle it from here..." Darian thought as he dissappears into the alleyways. Not quite leaving yet moving to another location to continue the fight.

"I don't think they are after us." Armin says after watching the mechas for a while. He watches them attack offices until they are attacked by Manala tanks. The battle becomes more fierce and large buildings, most not even involved with SOTA or the conflict, become damaged in large sections. For now, the battle seems to be going on a somewhat safe distance away, but, it will be difficult to carry out the meeting with the noise and the danger nearby.

"I wonder if we should go somewhere safer. Is a basement safe? Basements are safe from tornados, are they safe from mechas?" He asks the other rebels.

Shortly after Cephrien leaves, I receive a message from the Moderator about an emergency meeting. I head to the HQ of the Economic Council right away and take my seat. It is there that I learn that Momo's company Intelligent Design is trying to take over SOTA. I doubt that she knows that Keitoleinen is a god or else she may not have attempted this. I sit down and watch events unfold on a video screen, which is showing images from hidden cameras in Helsinki. The images are shakey and go in and out, since from time to time the cameras are destroyed by the machines on accident. What we see is a large battle between SOTA androids and tanks versus Intelligent Design androids, spideroids, and mechas.

Shortly after this, we learn that there was a large volcanic erruption in Japan and fears that a tsunami will soon follow. Things are very intense.

I look at the Moderator and he seems very...angry. I don't usually see him express such emotion.

"Okay, I'll be brave. Let's go..." Lucio says to Yasmin, even though he is completely terrified. It is pretty pathetic when a kid has to tell you to "man up" so, he decides not to complain any more.

He leads Yasmin outside. It is loud out there. He hears crashing and explosions. The sky flashes red with each manala blast and the air is thick with smoke.

The two make their way to the location near Helsinki university. He finds Charon's house and enters...looking around for the socialists.

As soon as they enter Charon's house, Yasmin told Lucio that she needs to use to the bathroom. Once he gives the thumps up, she began finding the bathroom. Once she finds it, she went inside and lock the door behind her. Yasmin went inside the tub and sat down. She took out her cell and sent a text to the Invisible Hand members.

I am sorry that I didn't do to any reports recently BUT I am currently with a socialist writer at his friend's place. I am assuming that his 'comrades' are also coming here too. Well, that is mini report for now and contact me if you want to give me new reports or give you updates about this mini report.

Once she sent her text to all members in the Invisible Hand, Yasmin gets out the tub and began using the toliet.

[Eun/Aoi Kiriyama]

"Eun!! Why you putting me in the basement?" Haneul ask her daughter.

"Because something is destroying the damn city." Eun answer before closing the door and lock it. She grab her sythe before quickly exiting her home and began running through the streets. As she ran, she turn into Aoi.

"This is such a pain in a ass. All I want to take a nap isnide Eun, but NO!! Eun has to transform to me." Aoi mutter to himself.

So, instead of compalin, Aoi began following the disturbance and the noises. It didn't took him long to find the cause of the disturbance. When he saw the concrete rubbles rain from the sky, Aoi took cover by going inside the empty parking lot bulding. He began coughing a bit as he inhale the dust. As he slowing exiting the building, he quickly notice the mechas.

"That's...Momo's mechas....but why the hell she would be attacking my idiot boss' home and SOTA?" he thought to himself.

Before he could react, Aoi felt a sharp pain near his right knee and left ankle. He quickly heal his minor wounds before he began to take cover from the fighting. He still wish that his dad could teach him to transform into his ruwai form, but no. His dad had to die. So, he manage to avoid the manala blasts and attack some of the mechas from the behind. He knew that if Momo saw him attacking her 'precious' mechas, he might be in trouble. So, after just finishing attacking the mechas, Aoi turns back to Eun.

"Mom better stay in the basement unless she wants to die...." Eun mutter to herself before she began running towards the alleyway.

[Max Alexander]

"Shit" Max yells.

He shot up from his chair and locked the computer. he had jsut soent 25 minutes tracking down the files on his computer when he recieved a text message calling an emergency meeting. Shortly after that he recieved another from a reporter in Helsinki. There was mass chaos.

"We need to get going." He explained when Dinari returned, stating the same thing.

Max's PDA beeped. Another text from a close worker of his. "There is chaos in London. I need to get my secretary out of there. You guys take the teleport booth in my garage. I'll use the one down town. Call me once your in Helsinki. I should not take long."

With that Max picked up his coffee and coat and nearly sprinted out of the house. He ran to his garage and jumped into his chauffeur's big Audi sedan, speeding off down the long driveway in a massive rush.

[Momo Kurokawa]

"I will meet you both there." Momo replies to Max. She leaves on her own and wanders over to a teleportation booth. In an instant, the booth teleports her to Switzerland. She stands outside the HQ for a moment and decides to make some calls.

This is when she gets the news. A massive tsunami has hit Japan after a volcanic eruption. This is the largest tsunami in several hundred years. She doesn't believe it. What horrible luck that such a natural disaster would occur on the day of her attack.

"Don't send any more machines to Finland. All machines and personel should be used for disaster relief. I want a report about the damage and the estimated lives lost."

She considers calling off the attack now that she won't be allocating any backup to Helsinki. But,it is too late for that. What's done is done.

About this time, she gets a call about the loss of some mechas.

"There won't be reinforcements. My new orders are to destroy as much property as we can, including the labs. Show no mercy, leave nothing. Fight until there is no one left on our side." Momo orders. Her plans have changed from a takeover to the destruction of the other company. Perhaps the massive destruction will cause them to surrender anyway.

After her final orders, she enters the HQ of the Economic council and takes her seat...the one marked with a plaque for Intelligent Design.

[Horacio Hatfield]

Horacio sits in his prison cell, taking a nap. He is awoken by crashing outside. He goes to the barred windows and sees giant machines fighting tanks outside...and very near to the prison. One of the tanks blasts a hole in the mecha, which causes it to fall backwards and stumble. It stumbles closer and closer to the prison until it actually falls....falling right through the wall of some nearby cells.

This causes a large hole in the side of the prison. Horacio hides under his bed, afraid that some debris will fall on him.

When the debris settles, Horacio sees a crack in the wall large enough for him to escape through. He runs through it and through the hole in the side of the prison...along with dozens of other prisoners...

He runs with the crowd through the prison yard and through a hole that has been punched into the wall around the prison.

He is free! He is free, but fearful of all of the fighting going on around him. He is in the middle of it, since the prison is owned by Sota and near other buildings.

Horacio runs as fast as he can down the now broken sidewalk. He spots Linnea, Kith, and Ophelia.

"We have to get out of here, all hell is breaking loose!"

[Dinari Dollar]

(I am going to move us to the meeting, if that is okay Max)

Dinari stay with Max and they travel together to the meeting, sparing no time. Working on the Eyes of God will have to wait for now because of the emergency meeting. For Dinari, it is all kind of exciting. There hasn't been a major fight between two companies for some time. He's just glad it isn't Allmart. His army is a little shabby right now and he hasn't heard from Peter in some time.

They arrive at the meeting and Dinari takes his seat at the spot with a plaque that says Allmart.

[Tristan Tuzanic]

Tristan finishes his pizza at Trendy pizza when he gets a call. Helsinki is being attacked. The Manalists have a temple in Helsinki, and in fact, that is the temple where he has been stationed to work and his wife and son are. He doesn't even think of his conversation with Cephrien. All he can think of is getting back there to protect his son, even if that means fighting for the Manalists. Alas, he is mildly intoxicated from several drinks he consumed with his pizza. He figures he is fine enough to fight.

He leaves the restaurant, forgetting to pay. He takes a teleportation booth back to Helsinki and teleports right into the midst of destruction. There are spideroids and asian looking robot girls everywhere.

Tristan opens up his dark vortex and starts sucking in anything around him.

"All I can say is you better not have destroyed Trendy Pizza here in Helsinki..."

[Jumala Keitoleinen]

Keitoleinen gets a call that the labs are now being attacked and that the attackers seem to be acting more aggressive than before. He figures that this is because Momo learned of the natural disaster in Japan. He doesn't really want his labs to take too much damamge since that would set the company back for quite a while. He decides that he had better take matters into his own hands.

Keitoleinen does something he has not done for a long while....he transforms into his truest form. His true form is a giant, god beast. It is an enormous creature with long black fangs, a white mane, cat like eyes, many horns, a lion's tale and red and purple hair highlights on tufts on his feet, the tip of his tale, and the tips of his mane. The creature looks something like a large, horned lion...perhaps with a certain dog like quality in the face. In this form, he is much larger than even the mechas.

He steps over the gate outside of his mansion and walks across Helsinki, causing more panic in the already terrorized populace. When he arrives at the main lab, he swats a mecha with his giant paw and scoops up another in his mouth. He crushes the mecha in his mouth and slams the other against the ground.

In no time, he makes short work of the mechas. In response to this, spideroids start crawling up his body and firing Manala beams at him. But, they are like woodticks on a dog. Annoyed, he shakes them off and opens his mouth, firing his own energy blast at some of the ones on the ground...or simply crushing others.

It is true, if he were not a god, Momo's company could have easily taken over his. He simply doesn't put as much effort into his company as she does her's.

When the mechas and most of the spideroids have been destroyed, Keitoleinen returns to his normal form. He then takes a teleportation booth to the meeting. The fighting is still going on, but it is now between his robots and soldiers and her's. The destruction to his company would not be as great.

He takes a seat and waits for the meeting to start. He smirks at Momo, amused by her little attack.

Lucio lets Yasmin go her own way. He wanders through Charon's home until he finds everyone in the library. The meeting seems to be halted though.

"It's a beautiful day out there. We should go outside and play frisbee." Lucio suggests with a laugh. This is just a joke, since of course, it is dangerous and frightening outside with the battle going on. He only wanted to lighten things up.

[Annette Rosenthal]

Annette arrives at the emergency meeting with two creditors in tow. She takes her seat and looks over at Keitoleinen then over to Momo. She shakes her head, but, at the same time, she can't be completely against the conflict. Competition should strengthen both companies and probably even strengthen those who aren't involved as the fear of takeover hits home. She doesn't say anything,but keeps her eyes fixed on the video screen showing footage from the fight.
