50 years ago, elections such as these were unheadoff. A black man and a woman are running for democratic office. Big stuff!!! What do you think about the next election? I don't like the idea, but I think the republicans are going to win, agian...

I bet a dozen donuts that the republicans don't win.

I don't want them to win, but right now the democrats are almost two seperate parties. Unfotunately, that's the sad truth of it all. I wanted John Edwards in the loop, but he dropped out early.

Well... It'd have to be narrowed down to just one democrat, which At the moment seems to be Obama. Although any further then that I dunno what will happen...
Dont know who Im voting for if he does win though, and if she wins well then It'd make it easier for me to choose. While I do believe that women deserve just as much of a chance to be in the white house as anyone, I dont believe she should be the first

You have a good point. Obama seems like the most likely canidate for the democratic elections at the moment. The problem with it all is that a recent poll showed that there's a good percentage of democrats that are willing to vote republican is Miccy boy makes it.
I'm with you, a woman has as much right to the big chair as a man, but I don't think she should have it.

I think the republicans will have a very, very tough race ahead of them. Many people are upset with the last eight years under Bush and that's likely to throw many swing voters and Independents into the Democrate.
Obama is the better choice, in my opinion, and I just plain don't like Hilary. She's been in politics a long time and as done alot of nasty things. Farthermore she's joinned at the hip ther husband and whatever we elect Hilary to we get Bill along for the ride. Now I have little problem with Bill Clinton in general, I liked his terms in office but I don't want him in the House again if I can help it and that includes as the First Husband.
In my books Hilary has a blackspot by her name forever and always because of her involvement, however short, with Jack Thompson and his moronic crusade.

I'm in full agreement with that. I’m still in my little opinion that although, as you pointed out, the republicans aren’t going to have the throne with very much ease, they will win yet again. I still believe that the democrats will make it very close. Everyone knows, even if they deny it, that Bush lost both elections he participated in by several hundred thousand votes, so the democrats, even if they don’t win, will make it very close.

That's pure speculation, and whilst I may not agree with the Bush administrations policies it does no good to lie about them

It isn't pure speculation, a public announcement was made that denied certain citizens their vote, even though they had already voted. I could get some links in a few days for you, if you wish, that would show that I am correct. I'll admit, the most recent election may have not included several hundred thousand votes (That's right, I may have been wrong.lol) but on the matter of the first one, I am right.

-_- i'd rather not argue about this
I feel very strongly about Obama this year and am currently rooting for him, I was originally for Ron Paul, but then he didn't get any key states and my politcal beliefs began to change

McCain went on TV and said "We've had a pretty prosperous eight years."
And I'm all like "What country is he living in, again?"
McCain = no economic plan.
And Hillary voted for the war in Iraq.
OBAMA PLZ

I feel there is nothing good about American elections anymore. I think the controls of the nation are no longer decided by 1 vote for 1 person. I can't help but fear that Democracy has been hijacked by Capitalism. When a politician preaches the values of Democracy and the importance of exporting Democracy .. i can't help but know he is truly preaching capitalism and talking of exporting capitalism. And to me .. capitalism is not the "American Dream", well it is for the elitists of the nation .. but for the poor .. it is just another carrot on a stick. We had an American Dream where we lived (in the projects) .. it was called "staying out of poverty".

I think you blew it a hint out of proportion there, but I also think you have an exelent point. People today are too conerned with the idea of staying out of poverty, or simply not losing money. We've become too obsessed with lining our pockets and not caring about others.
