Maria was an orphan in Russia who was never adopted. As she got older, she took care of the other orphans at the orphanage. Eventually, she was too old to stay there, so she went off on her own, living on the streets of Moscow. She was very poor and hardly survived. However, one thing that sustained her was her Wiccan faith. It gave her hope and belief in her own power and ability. It was during a time of starvation that she was visited by a woman who called herself the Goddess who told her where she could find food and shelter. This Goddess called herself Louhi. She followed the advice of the Goddess and found a home owned by an old man. The old man could no longer take care of himself and the home, so he hired Maria to watch him and the place. It turns out that the old man was a man named Kaschei. Kaschei was old and wrinkled at the time, but at one time had been a god like sorcerer. Maria took care of him for meager pay. In exchange, he protected her from the Manalists, who persecute Wiccans among other beliefs.

Maria was able to help Kaschei by healing him enough so he could leave the house. While he was gone, he found a new body and returned not as an old man, but in the human body of a Forest Demon. It was very strange for her to see Kaschei, who she only knew as an old man, in this new, young body. For her help, he agreed to marry her and they have lived together since.

Kaschei has since become the head of the Russian Mafia, the only organized crime group in the world. Maria is afraid of him and his criminal associates, but she does her best to be cheerful and support her husband in any way that she can. She is well liked by Kaschei's underlings.

Countess Cola is now the largest Cola company in the world. This is probably because of the secret ingredient she puts in the soda: Red Leaf. Red Leaf gives her soda a red color but also makes it addictive. Because she is so wealthy, she actually bought France. So, France belongs to her. She uses much of the land to grow Red Leaf birches which are used in her soda. She lives in a castle and has gotten Red Leaf legalized in France thanks to a special favor from the Economic Council.

Vivien was actually born human and all of her relatives are long dead. She was turned into a vampire by a Chinese vampire named Jun Cia. Cia turned her into a vampire because she wanted to become immortal. Jun Cia currently is a member of the economic council and a friend of her's. It was Jun Cia who helped her get Red Leaf legalized.

Aside from this, she often feels lonely. She is attracted to Calithin Crest, but he has never shown interest in her. She has also tried to pursue other wealthy men, but none are really interested. Thus, she is alone a lot and often isolates herself in her castle with Oscar her tiger and other pets that she has purchased from Genetech.

Since she owns France, she would like to perhaps set up a government there someday. She would like a liberal government and believes that people should have certain rights. He is one of the first vampires in the world because of this and most vampires therefore have some connection to him. As for the demon, details about that remain sketchy and he really doesn't talk much about his own history.
It is only known that at some point he became a vampire and since then he has been immortal and working in various jobs. Generally, he seems to believe in capitalism, though he usually goes along with whatever group or idea is in power since that is usually what is most useful for his survival. In that sense, he is rather indifferent to politics and beliefs in general.

It was during these years that he developed a mild addiction to Red Leaf, which he would confinscate from criminals. His supervisor found this out and he was transferred to the Economic Council. Jun dislikes some people and has made enemies in his life. One of them is Tristan Tzunic, though the reason why he doesn't like him remains unclear. For the most part though, he is able to get along fine with people he dislikes. He sees people as tools for his own advancement.

Aries is a silver dragon who lives in London and who works as a Labor Contractor. Basicly this means he goes around finding workers to work at various jobs. This means he often goes to villages finding children, women, or other poor people willing to work for a very low wage at a large company, often at a sweatshop or factory. He sometimes helps find Scab or replacement workers whenever there is a strike. Because of this, he keeps a good relationship with all business characters. He works closely with Sota, Genetech, Sampo, Allmart, and other large companies to find workers for these companies. Sometimes he deals with the Manalists and places political prisoners into work camps for different companies. He cares little for workers or worker rights. He looks to find the cheapest and most exploitable labor source.

This job has made him somewhat wealthy. He has a position on the Economic Council because of it. He lives in London in a Minimalist apartment. He also has a sister named Andromeda who is a super model. He is dating Capricious Crest, but he usually doesn't acknowledge this. other children, who although they were not related, he came to view as sibling like. There were 25 families living in the Kibbutz
The Kibbutz focused on growing sunflowers (for seeds and oil) and chickens/turkeys. There were also some sheep on the farm. From growing
up the farm, he was used to sharing all wealth and to never know about private property or possessions. He was exposed to a
variety of ideas, but the dominant ones were anarchy and socialism, so, he grew into someone who did not believe in private wealth
and who had some utopian views about socialism. He also didn't believe in government or war, although his thoughts on violence
never resulted in pacifism. He has always been torn on this issue. He is a peaceful person, but he has seen so much wrong in the
world that it is hard for him to totally reject violence.

them into private farms. During these times, he went to work as a gardener for better off family with ties to the Israeli government.
It was during this time that he met and befriended the daughter of this family. The daughter was an intelligent, capable, and
interesting person. She kept to herself, but somehow allowed Ezra to become her friend. A deep friendship developed between them
since the girl had been isolated and lonely. Ezra told her about his experiences on the kibbutz, but they shared little in common
politically. Although both were anarchists of a sort, the girl valued capitalism, whereas Ezra was a socialist.

A few years passed and the world become increasingly dangerous. Ezra and the girl, Sarit, married and were living in an apartment
together, but the Manalists were deporting people and forcing conversion to the religion. Sarit, a student of economics, became
increasingly distant in their relationship. She threw herself into her work and did everything she could to conform to the Manalist
way of doing things. Ezra had trouble with this. He told Sarit that they should leave Israel for somewhere safer, but Sarit refused.
Things became worse when Sarit joined the Manalists and proved her loyalty by killing her family. Ezra became terrified and fled
the country.

He left for the United States, which was a wasteland, but at least safe from the Manalists. He watched as the world fell apart
and...as, a new Moderator took power. This new Moderator was Sarit, who had changed her name to Ariel, and who was posing as a man.
Ezra couldn't believe any of this, or how much she had changed. However, he didn't have time to worry about this since Ariel sent the
Invisible Hand to America after him. He was arrested, tortured, and had his tongue cut out..so he could never tell Ariel's secret.

Genki is the son of Momo Kurokawa and an Ursarian. The Ursarian was in the form of a bear when it entered her house to find food. Instead of get rid of it, she decided to try to lure it with food and keep it around as a pet. She was lonely and showed the bear kindness. The bear was moved that the woman had shown him kindness, so he revealed to her that he was actually an Ursarian, or a bear that could turn into a human form. His human form as overweight and hairy, something that most people wouldn’t be attracted to, but Momo liked him despite how he looked. They stayed together and had a son, who she named Genki. The Ursarians were mostly destroyed due to environmental destruction and Genki’s father set off to learn more about the gray zone that was destroying the Ursarian lands. He never returned.

Genki was raised by Momo and treated well. He had good education and as a whole, Momo treated him well. Now that he is an adult, he is a researcher for the company. He travels around the world trying to come up with new ideas for the company or see what other companies are doing. He likes the job because he gets to travel, but deep down he would like to make money as a musician. He loves classical music and playing the oboe.

Genki is the son of Momo Kurokawa and an Ursarian. The Ursarian was in the form of a bear when it entered her house to find food. Instead of get rid of it, she decided to try to lure it with food and keep it around as a pet. She was lonely and showed the bear kindness. The bear was moved that the woman had shown him kindness, so he revealed to her that he was actually an Ursarian, or a bear that could turn into a human form. His human form as overweight and hairy, something that most people wouldn’t be attracted to, but Momo liked him despite how he looked. They stayed together and had a son, who she named Genki. The Ursarians were mostly destroyed due to environmental destruction and Genki’s father set off to learn more about the gray zone that was destroying the Ursarian lands. He never returned.

Genki was raised by Momo and treated well. He had good education and as a whole, Momo treated him well. Now that he is an adult, he is a researcher for the company. He travels around the world trying to come up with new ideas for the company or see what other companies are doing. He likes the job because he gets to travel, but deep down he would like to make money as a musician. He loves classical music and playing the oboe.

He also has one major problem with the company. HE is a pacifist. HE doesn’t believe in violence, even to defend himself. He would rather take a punch then hurt anyone else. Because of this, he dislikes the company because the robots and machines are used to hurt people. He secretly is trying to join a rebel movement to fight the Manalists. He gives much of his income to other pacifists that he meets. He is ashamed of this and does not want to tell his mother that he is a pacifist or against the Manalists. He loves her and doesn’t want her to become angry with him.

story:

Mandy was born in Iowa in a small community of escapees from Europe and Manalism. He grew up poor, but was exposed to various ideas
because many of the people in the town were rebels of various kinds. He met anarchists, socialists, feminists, religious rebels,
and so on. Although he never attended school, these rebels had been educated in Europe and informally taught him. They taught him to read and write, as well as some of the history of the world. One of his favorite things to learn about was music, which became a passion for him at a young age.
At the age of 16 he decided to leave the community and hike across America seeing what was left of the country. He met many people and supported himself by playing music on the street, sometimes inventing his own anti-Manalist tunes. Over time, he grew a little bit popular and decided to create a musician persona called Mandy Anti Manala. His real name is Mark Hoffman. As this persona, he wandered about the United States making his anti religious music. He never made much money from it, sometimes he was fed and housed, but for the most part he was a poor wanderer. On these journeys, he thought a lot about the world and deciced that he was an anarchist and wanted to use his music to further anarchy and anti-religious. So, that is what he has been doing. Sometimes people donate him larger amounts of money if they have it, but most of the time he is pretty poor. His income tends to vary. He would have more money, but he has an addiction to drugs. He was around drugs a lot growing up, so, he was used to the idea of them and had fairly easy access to them. So, when he has extra money after buying minimal food and clothes, he spends his money on drugs.

Despite his problem, he would like to either join or start up an anarchist movement. To this end, he is looking for Horacio Hatfield,the illusive anarchist writer.
