Appearance:

The Flesh Monger is heavily modified, with scars, tattoos, and holes all over his body. He has large holes in his ears, a spike though his nose, holes in his nipples, scars on his back and arms. He also has subdermal implants on his legs, which make them appear spiked. He has spikes that he inserted into his head as well. He has tattoos of various things, such as zombies, Manalist symbols, animals, skulls, demons, and so on. He is 6’5 and generally a large guy, in terms of both muscle and fat. He is bald and usually wears very little so he can show off his body art. Sometimes he wears a mask, face paint or a bag over his head to make himself look more intimidating. His skin is light brown, his eyes are dark, and his face is round. His body always seems to be sweaty, even though he hardly wears anything at all.

Personality:

The Flesh Monger is serious, no nonsense, and hard working. He does what he does because he thinks that the body is a canvass. Although he is torturing someone, he sees it as an art. He wants to modify the body of the person he is causing pain to, so that they remember the experience. He is known to brand, scar, cut, tattoo, pierce, and flesh hang his victims. In fact, hanging someone on flesh hooks and waiting for the hooks to tear through their flesh is one of his favorite things. He sees torture and body modification as an art. He won’t do to someone what he wouldn’t do to himself though. Unfortunately, he loves pain and can take a lot of it. He is intelligent and in a way spiritual, since he derives spirituality from his torture.


story:

The Flesh Monger grew up in Haiti to a poor family in one of the poorest countries of the world. His real name is Hector Bertrand. His father was a Manala crystal miner who died when he was a kid, of Gray Sickness. His mother took many odd jobs that were low paying, but usually worked as a maid. Hector has three brothers who are older than him. He had no formal education went to work at the age of 14 in the Manala Crystal mines.
He was a hard worker and could do more work than any of the other miners. However, the mine ran out of crystals, so, it was closed by Crest Mining. However, Crest Mining offered to move the workers to a mine in Russia. Hector agreed to this. He moved to Russia, which was cold and the work was a lot harder. In his free time, he would fight other miners for sport. He taught himself how to fight and they would make bets in informal matches out of work. He always won and his coworkers told him that maybe he should try to go on M TV’s Utlimate Fight Competition. He tried out and was accepted to join the show as a fighter.
This is where his life turned around. He started to make money and was able to buy himself nice things. He would spend some of the money on tattoos and body modifications. In one fight though, he was injured by the fighter Cris Frost and had to spend some time in the Hospital (which was done in secret since hospitals are outlawed.) The defeat made him feel that he could not return to the show, so, he instead sought work with the Manalists. He joined as a Religious Soldier and did well in that capacity due to his natural strength. However, he was a little bit too ruthless and cruel to his victims, torturing them needlessly.

That is why when the Temple of Terror opened he was given a job there as the Head Tormentor. He overseas other torturers and answers only to Kaschei. His appearance and penchant for modifying the bodies of his victims has made him a feared presence at the Temple of Terror. His title is The Flesh Monger, which is what he expects people to call him. But, they can call him Flesh for short.

Appearance:

Robert has brown hair that is specked with gray. His skin is tan and worn from years of being outdoors. He wears earthy colors with an old fashioned, almost civil war or cowboy look to them. He often wears cowboy hats or safari hats. He has a mustache and also tends to have sideburns. He is muscular and some say he slightly resembles Theodore Roosevelt. He wears small spectacles, but only for reading.


Personality:

Robert is masculine, independent, eccentric, and advertursome. He is inspired by pioneers, cowboys, and voyageurs. He likes hunting and availing himself in manly adventures that often involve testing his survival skills against nature. He collects guns as well as the heads or stuffed bodies of animals he has killed. He is old fashioned, so he can be a bit sexist. He is also loudmouthed and boasts about himself and the amazing things he has done. Whenever he has an audience, he likes to tell stories of his adventures in the wilderness and his brushes with death. He often tells stories of wrestling Grizzly bears or riding on a charging Rhino. Most of his stories are probably fictional. He is tidy, lawful, hard working, and has high expectations for himself and those who work for him.


story:

Robert was born in Alaska, where he enjoyed time in the outdoors and having adventures. In his youth, he often got into trouble or dangerous situations in the wild. He was born just as the Manalist were starting to take power. He loved Alaska and dreams of what America could have been like or what it was long ago. His parents were Christians, so he was raised that way as well. He never went to school, but taught himself how to read, write, and do math.
At about the age of 26 he met the woman who would be his wife, a fiery Irish woman who was also a Christian. Together they lived in Ireland for a while and had two daughters. One of them is actually Lucia Mellona. For the safety of their family, they eventually moved back to Alaska. Living in such a remote, cold region was hard on the family so the mother took the two girls back to Ireland, where they spent most of their youth. Robert would visit them from time to time.
Eventually, Robert needed to find work to support his family, so he took a job for the Manalists as a police officer of a sort, involved with the Anti Drug Commission. He worked hard for them, but over time, it changed his religious beliefs. It was too much of a strain to remain Christian. So, he converted to Manalism, although his daughers and wife remained Christian. This caused more distance in the family until they hardly had anything to do with each other. Lucia and her sister hardly see their father.
The isolation from his family caused him to seek out adventures and work hard for the Manalists. His hard work eventually paid off since he is now the head of the Anti Drug Commission. He helps to enforce drug laws and oversees the whole Commission. One of his goals is to one day defeat Leilah Kaihaan, who the Commission lost two drug wars to. Another goal is to someday put an end to Artz Lehrer Pharmaceuticals. He is also annoyed with the hippies in the Enlightened Brotherhood and would like to target them as well.
When he isn’t working, he likes to go hunting, seeking out strange new animals. He even goes hunting on Genetech animal reserves where a person can hunt exotic game such as dinosaurs.
He also likes to read about American and Canadian history. He hopes that Dinari Dollar is able to restore America. He fantasizes about the old west and imagines that America could be like that someday. He likes to wear clothes that look like costumes from American history.

He prides himself on his sense of rugged individualism and cans, grows, or hunts all of his own food. He is very self sufficient and loathes relying on anyone for anything. He fits into the Manalist religion because of his individualism.

+Puddle Jump-He can disappear into puddles of liquid and reappear in other puddles. This is useful on rainy streets especially, but can be used for any small pool of water that he steps in.

+Mental Hunting-He can scan the minds of people in crowds or busy streets to find someone he is looking for. He can’t quite read the thoughts of people, but he can scan their minds for images or clues to their identity until he finds what he is looking for.

+ Intangibility- He can make himself intangible for about 3 seconds at a time, meaning, he can run through walls or even people for a short period.

Appearance:

Without his mask, he has brown skin with white splotches due to his skin ailment. His hair is unkept and dirty. He has long, broken finger nails, which are usually covered up with gloves. He wears a shabby brown trench coat, but dressy shoes. His voice is deep and monotone. When he is working, he wears a mask with blotches on it, which is similar to his own skin. He is shorter and slimmer than average.

Personality:

Ken looks intimidating, with or without his mask. People avoid him because he often looks or smells unclean. He doesn’t mind, since he is a loner who has little do with anyone. He keeps to himself, but, is willing to talk if someone takes the time to pay attention to him. He often feels alone or empty. He keeps away from people because he feels that he is mentally ill and that he can’t control it. The only thing with any meaning to him is his job for Dr. Lonrott. He suffers from memory loss from the shock treatments he has undergone.


story:

Ken was born in the ruins of radioactive Chicago. Life was hard there to say the least. His family, like most everyone there, was poor. His parents were usually sick and both parents eventually died of cancer from the radiation. Other family members also died of cancer. At about 14 years old, he decided that he couldn’t stay in Chicago or else the cancer would get him as well. So, he left. He just started walking. He walked across Wisconsin, then Minnesota…and kept going Westward. Along the way he met small colonies of people, who would sometimes share food and water with the young boy. Other times, he ate whatever he could find: rats, birds, squirrels, wild plants, old food from run down, abandoned grocery stores. He learned to survive and spent most of his teenage years as a wanderer.
He was a bright boy and wanted to be a physicist, even though he had no formal education. He taught himself from old text books he had found. He decided that the wandering life wasn’t getting him anywhere. At the same time, he saw that Sota was hiring scientists and that he could take an aptitude test to qualify for a position. He stole some money from a couple people he hitched a ride from, and used that money to teleport to Helsinki to take the test. He passed the test and was given an apprentice position developing Manala weapons. He worked for about 15 years and his colleagues thought that despite his lack of education, he was naturally bright and very hard working. However, he started having mental health problems. It started with voices in his head or smells that weren’t real. It made it hard to concentrate on his work. Because the mental illness, he eventually lost his job with Sota and became homeless.
He eventually was committed to the Center for Psychological research where he was heavily medicated and endured shock treatments. The medication and treatments caused him to lose some of his memories. He could no longer concentrate to do scientific work or even remember how to do his work. All of this ruined his identity, so he escaped. He lived on the streets for a couple more years, since he felt it was better to be homeless and be his true self than to be some overmedicated, forgetful nobody.
Eventually, he was discovered by Dr. Lonrott, who offered him a job with the Center, with the promise that he would no longer have to endure treatments that he didn’t like. He would be paid well and would be able to live in his own quarters at the center. Ken was reluctant to give up his freedom, but at the same time, the promise of a job and a roof over his head sounded good. He agreed to do as Lonrott wished so long as he would never have to have treatment himself.
Thus, Ken has become an assistant to Lonrott who tracks down people who have escaped the research center or those who need to come in for mental evaluation. He does Lonrott’s bidding, for the most part, without question. He feels that he isn’t doing anything wrong, since society is wrong. Mental illness stole his ability to work and his talents, so, the position also helps him to get revenge on society for his experiences. Sometimes he works for the Invisible Hand as well when they need someone to hunt an individual down.

-Potted Plant- Paco can transform into a potted plant, which makes his appearance look quite inconspicuous.

-Aloe- when cut, he oozes a clear liquid which can be used to heal wounds. His wounds heal quickly, but the healing is not instant.

Paco has light tan skin and shaggy black hair. His figure is tall and thin. He wears worn out jeans and a Baja jacket that is brown and green. He wears dusty converse sneakers and as a whole, looks like a lean, dusty, hitch hiker. His face is a little scruffy.

Personality:

Paco likes to travel and meet people. He is fond of women, but tends to get involved with dangerous or unstable ones. He likes hitchhiking, carnivals, guns, drinking, and playing guitar. He doesn’t say much and is soft spoken. He likes to observe people. He likes drinking a little too much. He is independent, but does enjoy at least attending social events.

story:

Paco grew up in Monterrey, Mexico. His mother was a cactus Ruwai of the peyote cactus. His father was also a Ruwai, but of the Aloe plant. His parents were migrant workers who would travel to the United States to work for Allmart in sweatshops or Allmart fruit farms. He would be left behind to be cared for by sisters. When he was about 10 years old, the Manalists and Anti Drug Commission killed his family, except his mother, who they planned to use in a Dreamer Machine. His sisters were killed because unlike him, they took on his mother’s drug like qualities of being a peyote cactus.
He was taken and brought to Rome, and his life was spared since he did not possess any of the peyote type powers. Since he was only 10, it was decided that he could be trained and would work for the Manalists. Thus, he was trained to use his natural plant powers. When he was older, he was given a position with the Invisible Hand as an infiltrator. His job is to fit in with rebels to spy on them or assassinate them as needed. His first mission was to infiltrate the German Terrorist group Null. He did this by disguising himself as a potted cactus being sold at Ophelia’s flower shop in Rome. The plant was purchased and given to Heikki Toivonen as a gift. From then on, Paco has lived and traveled with Heikki and the Null terrorists in the disguise of a potted plant.
Being a potted plant is boring, so, when Heikki and the others aren’t looking, Paco will sometimes leave and do other things. Heikki has never seemed to notice that the cactus is gone. One of the things that Paco enjoys when he is on his own is hanging out with the Enlightened Brotherhood (in human form) and hitchhiking or attending carnivals. He also likes to go out drinking. He is an alcoholic, and finds that he must sometimes sneak a drink even when Heikki is around. Aside from drinking, he also likes music. He likes to attend any sort of musical performance. Sometimes, he will even play his guitar in bars (if he can find them.)
Paco believes the Manalists to a point and doesn’t think much of his life before he worked for them. He feels there is little hope in the world and that at least he is alive. He feels that there is no point in fighting the Manalists and that it is easier to just go along with them and have the best life a person can. He enjoys the Enlightened Brotherhood because he can drink, do drugs, and listen to music with them. However, he is also spying on them without them knowing it.

When Luna is dressed like a guy, he is about 5’5 slim, with black shaggy hair. He wears everyday guy clothes such as jeans, sneakers, and sports t shirts or jerseys. He sometimes wears thick black framed glasses.

As a female, he wears a stuffed bra, tight dresses, usually in black or red. His hair is still shaggy and black. As a female, he likes to wear bright makeup and fancy clothes.

Personality:

Luna is kind, fun, and open minded. He is willing to give anyone and anything a chance. He is out to have fun in life and enjoys new experiences. He doesn’t swear and is usually polite to most people, but he is not uptight about people who are uptight. He is a nice person without being a goody goody or saccharine. He enjoys red leaf, but in moderation. In general, he believes in everything in moderation. He cares about the environment and especially about food health.

story:
Luna was born in the ruins of Mexico City to a poor family. He has two sisters and is the oldest of the three children. He was a quiet, obedient, good kid who seemed to like to wear girl clothes and liked to pretend to be a girl. His mother was Mexican seamstress and his father was a fairy who worked outside of Mexico City on a fruit farm. His family never had much money and life was very hard.

He attended an informal school in Mexico city that was taught by ex teachers or those interested in spreading literacy. So, his education was not official and was not high quality, but generally, at least taught him how to do basic skills.

He was always interested in fashion, hair styles, and the environment, though, he never had an outlet for it. At the age of 18 he met someone from the Enlightened Brotherhood. Her name was Flor and she was a Ruwai based on the Morning Glory plant. She told him to join the Enlightened Brotherhood and that it would help him in life. He did, since he wasn’t going anywhere anyway and he wanted an excuse to leave Mexico City. While in the group, he was exposed to their brand of spirituality, drug use, and environmentalism. He wandered around with them and through involvement in their illegal drug trade, he was able to save enough money to go to school to be a hairstylist. This was his dream.

He eventually saved enough money to open his own hair styling studio in London, where he now lives. He calls his shop, Hair by Luna. However, to supplement his income, he also works at a small, organic grocery store in London that is owned by Royal Dane Organics. So, he is always working. He lives in an apartment in the old school building that the socialists call their HQ. The building is also an apartment complex, so, he encounters various socialists from time to time.

In his free time, he likes writing poems.

He is currently interested in having a sex change, but it is an expensive, lengthy process. He is trying to save money for the sex change. Aside from that, he also wants to help other transgendered people by finding an apartment building where they can live together in safety as they go through their transition.

Although he doesn’t agree with them too much, Luna is a member of the Rainbow Army. He figures it is a way to fight back against the Manalists. Though, he is against terrorism.

Appearance:

Jack has tan skin, short black hair, brown eyes, and a muscular build of average height. He usually wears suits, and is generally pretty well dressed.

Personality:

Jack is enthusiastic and energetic. He is hard working and enjoys taking risks. He is always on the go and speaks quickly. He enjoys steaks and spicy food. He uses large gestures and sometimes it’s hard to keep up with him. He never tires, but gets bored easily. He needs a lot of stimulation or else he gets bored and will do something impulsive. He likes having fun, but his main passion in life is anything concerning cards.

story:

Jack was born in the ruins of the United States in Michigan. Life was hard and his family moved around various places in Michigan. His father left his mother when he was 10 years old and moved back to Mexico, where his father was from. His mother stayed with other relatives. Thus, Jack is more accustomed to white, American culture than his Hispanic side, although he does know some Spanish. His life was hard and when he was 15, his mother died of cancer, as it common in the United States due to the radiation. But, things improved. He was sent to live with a relative in Italy, a distant relative who worked for the Manalists. Life turned around, since for the first time, Jack was able to go to school, have regular meals, and a safe place to live. The relative, a guy he called Uncle Luciano, took good care of Jack and even let him use his car, an antique gas powered vehicle. This is when Jack fell in love with automobiles. Because of teleportation booths, there was less demand for cars now, since people could teleport from one place or another and driving took much longer. Most vehicles were produced for military purposes. Jack had the idea, why not create Manala crystal powered cars for leisure purposes? With this vision in mind, he went to college with help from Uncle Luciano. He went to a school run by the Manalists, but he learned to accept them and their ways and even thought that they weren’t so terrible. He went to school for business, but all the while, he strove to learn more about car history, car design, and basic mechanics.
After college, he decided he wanted to start up the car company, but needed someone who would support his vision.
He went to Dinari Dollar, the head of Allmart. He explained that he was an American also interested in restoring America, and that his idea was to create a car company for leisure vehicles and an alternative transportation to teleportation booths. Dinari liked the idea and gave him a small loan. With the money, he took a preexisting factory from GM in Detroit Michigan, and fixed it up. He found cheap labor in the desperate Americans living in Michigan and soon, he developed a couple of cars for sale in Europe. He wanted to focus on sports and luxury cars, since he figured the primary buyers at first would be European businesspeople interested in collecting or the novelty. The first cars sold quickly and demand increased. He expanded the factory, hired more workers, and now, patches of Michigan are producing his cars. Exporting is not very expensive because he uses large teleportation booths to send the cars to Europe. This way, his company can be based in the United States, even though almost all of the cars are sold in Europe and Asia. He calls his company Manala Motors. He uses some of his profits to clean up Michigan to make it liveable again.

story:

Darwin was born in Sydney, Australia to parents who both worked for Global Bank there. His family originated in the United States but moved to Australia due to the conditions in the US. (His grandparents were the ones who moved to Australia, so he and his parents had always lived in Australia). Darwin had a slight interest in banking and business, but, also in science. He did well in school, but had a hard time making friends or connecting to people.

He went to college for business and engineering in Sydney. In undergraduate school, he met a young science major named Fred Kimble. Fred was a nerdy, introverted student, but one with great ideas. Fred believed that he could perfect teleportation.
Teleportation was something that Ausralian scientists began studying in the 1990s, but something that was eventually abandoned because it could not be perfected. Fred said that he could design a machine that could send organic matter, but did not have the money to fund such a project. Darwin remained friends with him through college and eventually after completely a Masters degree in business, he founded New Objective, a company concerned with transportation technology. Remembering Fred from undergrad, Darwin said he would fund his research if he gave the rights to his company. Fred started his research and the first teleportation booth was invented. It was at first used to transport food and animals, but eventually was improved to the degree that it could transport humans.

Thus, New Objective marketed the Teleportation Booth, which revolutionized transportation. This is the main product created by New Objective. Right now, New Objective is trying to develop a Time Booth (which will be completed eventually in the rpg). Fred still quietly works for the company, though he doesn’t get much credit for his work.

Darwin is himself a cyborg. Feeling weak as a human, he paid Intelligent Design to replace some of his body with machine parts. His arms and legs are mechanical, which makes him stronger and faster than normal. He plans on replacing his eyes eventually, and perhaps some of his organs. It is a work in progress that he keeps a secret from most people. He feels that he wants to live forever and that being human is a weakness. So, he spends large amounts of money on improving his body in the quest for perfection and immortality.

New Objective has a moderate sized army, which contains Genetech created soldiers for the most part, with some androids and machines from Sota and Intelligent Design.

Darwin enjoys art and jazz music. He creates his teleportation booths to have an art deco appearance in their design. So, every machine is different and every machine is a work of art. Some of the new machines play jazz music.

He is an atheist, but also an objectivist, which puts him at odds with the Manalists and the economic council from time to time, but as a whole, he is not entirely dissatisfied with the world due to the opportunities he has made for himself.

He is one of the few Black members of the Economic Council. He tends to feel that racism is over or a thing of the past. He feels that anyone of any race can get ahead of they have the right values and the right work ethic. Because of this, he is disliked by many low income Blacks...since they feel he is ignorant to their struggles.

His company owns most of Australia.

Carmichael has brown hair, brown eyes, and glasses. He is normally wearing slacks, a white shirt, a tie, and a lab coat. He is about 5’9 and average weight. He is not very muscular, but not overly thin. His face is intelligent and his voice is calm and even.

Carmichael is hard working, even tempered, friendly, and good hearted. He is never arrogant and does his best to get along with everyone he works with. He is smart, but doesn’t draw much attention to himself. He works hard and is willing to work without reward or recognition. He likes science and learning, but in his free time, he likes to play tennis.

story:

Carmichael was born and raised in London. His father was a doctor and his mother was a teacher. He was an only child and was raised to value education. He did well in school, in all subjects, but especially science. In high school, he was on the Math Team and the Robotics Club. The Robotics Club won a national championship for the robot that he helped to build. He also played tennis in high school and went to college on a Tennis scholarship.

During college, he majored in Engineering and Robotics and went on to get a Phd in that field. He went to work for Sota after college, working at their London lab. He was at first put on projects working on Creditors or less specialized robots/androids, but eventually proved himself and was able to design and create his own machines. The androids that he created include Fayte Hargrave, Hope Dayspring, Misery, Destiny, and other quality androids. He is the head scientist at the London robotics lab for Sota.

At the age of 35, he married a woman named Hannah, who died a few years later of cancer. Hannah was a botanist who worked for Genetech. The android named Hope was actually designed to look like his deceased wife. He has not dated or had much interest in women since her death. Instead, he has refocused on his work.

Carmichael is against the Manalists and he creates some of the androids with the potential to learn to overcome their programming or to learn new things with the hope that perhaps they too could fight the Manalists. Carmichael believes that the world would be better if governments were restored and social programs were allowed. He is against the selfishness and destruction of the Manalists, however, he can’t be open about it. He can only work and hope that perhaps his creations will one day learn to fight the Manalists on their own accord.

Zen is a loud mouthed, energetic, opinionated, go getter. She has a lot of energy and likes to talk. She is a risk taker and often unafraid when she should be more reserved or cautious. She often jumps right into situations without thinking. She doesn’t work well on teams because she likes to do things her way, or, she simply annoys the other team members.

story:

Zen was born Sephora Weiss and is the older sister of Lucia Mellona and the daughter of Robert Weiss, the current head of the Anti Drug commission. She was always a free spirit who loved animals and the outdoors. She always had an opinion and liked to talk. As a young adult, she adopted a hippie lifestyle and joined the Enlightened Brotherhood, even though she was against their use of drugs. She hung out with them, enjoying music, the outdoors, and relative freedom. However, at the age of 22, the Enlightened Brotherhood was attacked. Many from her commune were captured and killed. She was captured, but instead of killing her, she was sent to Japan where she was turned into a cyborg that would serve Intelligent Design and the Invisible Hand. Her brain was replaced by a computer and much of her body was replaced with robotic parts. However, some of her organs are human, as well as her eyes, skin, and some bones. She is about 75% machine and 25% human.

Since being turned into a cyborg, she is no longer the carefree hippie. Instead, she is a machine programmed to serve The Invisible Hand and Intelligent Design. She does missions for them and remembers little about her past life as a human. Her new name is Zen and she is mostly used to hunt down rogue Creditors, hackers, and other computer related rebels. She no longer has the same love for the outdoors, instead she is cold and indifferent to nature. She instead identifies with machines, which is what her powers and abilities are based around. Although she looks similar to the human she once was, she does not remember her sister, mother, father, or any part of her old life.

The only thing moderately hippie about her is that she loves ducks, or small animals in general.

Tian is a tall, slender, well dressed Chinese businessman. He wears fashionable business attire, and generally prefers to wear light colors and fabrics. His face is angular and his hair is slightly shaggy. He wears glasses because he is nearsighted.

Personality:

Tian comes across as polite, easy going, and kind, but this is all an act. He keeps it up very well, since he figures that is what is expected of him in life, but, in reality, he feels anti social, cynical, and critical of things around him. He is a quick learner and very intelligent. He is sometimes annoyed by stupidity around him and frustrated by an inability to express the annoyance. For the most part, he keeps up the appearance of being friendly and nice, even though he is secretly easily annoyed. He has trouble with women because they are not often smart enough for him. He would like to find an intelligent woman with a mind for math or science. In order to unwind from his stressful life, he enjoys running. He actually runs in marathons in his spare time.


story:

Tian was born in Beijing to working class parents. He has a younger sister named Li Ai An who was put up for adoption when he was very young. He does not remember her nor does he know that she is actually Li Violette, the Speaker. He also has an older half brother who he never knew well. The older half brother was the result of his father’s first marriage.

Tian was a lonely, disliked, but studious child who always did well at math and science. He was very unpopular growing up, which made him dislike people. He wanted to play basketball, but his parents encouraged him to run instead because they thought that basketball was too rough. So, he did some running in high school and continues running now. Tian did not finish high school, since instead he was allowed to skip his last two years of high school to attended college early. He attended to become an engineer. Not only was he the best student in his program, he was the best in his college’s history. He went on to get his Phd in Aerospace Engineering. After college, he landed a job as an engineer for the Chinese space program. However, China fell into civil war and eventually the government collapsed. After the collapse, there was a scramble to privatize state property. The state run space program became a private company named TaiCo. The company was at first run by communist cronies but due to corruption and a few assassinations due to involvement with drugs and the Triads, the heads of the company were arrested or assassinated. As the top engineer for the company, it fell into Tian’s control, since he was one of the few knowledgeable and trustworthy employees. He fired anyone with any criminal or communist background and rebuild the company with young, visionary, Chinese capitalists. Tian himself went back to college to learn more about economics and business. So, he now effectively runs the company and also serves as a scientific advisor.
He has many ambitious ideas for the company, which include off Earth colonies and space mining. His company makes rockets, telescopes, space shuttles, space exploring robots, and a variety of other aerospace technologies. He believes that humans must someday move off of Earth and spread to other parts of the universe if it is to survive. He has a natural curiosity for the world beyond Earth and feels deeply committed to space exploration.

Lin Sat has short black hair, a full, round face, serious and small eyes and a muscular body of medium height. He usually wears dark suits and rarely smiles. His voice is deep and monotone. His eyes are dark and empty and his lips are thin and usually pulled tightly together. His skin is a deep tan.

His demon form is black with a red v shaped marking on the chest and red marks on the arm muscles. The demon has large black eyes and long floating tentacles protruding from its back. It has long black claws on the fingers and toes and four large black horns coming out of its head. The body is muscular, humanoid, tailless, and appears to be lacking a mouth.

Personality:

Lin Sat is very serious and hard working. He is entirely impersonal and expects perfection from those who work for him. He is completely emotionless, but does not come across as cold. He comes across as serious and focused. He has a violent temper that can turn on suddenly and usually means that someone is going to get hurt or killed. The thing that annoys him the most is failure. He hates music and anything sensory, which means, he dislikes the taste of food, the sound of music, too much color, too much noise, or to be touched. He is an isolated person who says little and seems to always be calculating, though his intentions remain unknown.

Lin Sat was a Chinese peasant born in 1953 on the same day that Joseph Stalin died. He was born to poor parents in rural China, where he worked hard and was an only child. At about the age of 9, he was visited by a powerful demon who was all black and shadow like. The demon offered him power if he would allow the demon to live inside his body. Lin Sat listened carefully to the demon’s promise and decided that he wanted what the demon had to offer. Such things as power and immortality sounded good to a boy who was otherwise poor and struggling. So, he gave himself to the demon and they became one.

The demonic possession caused Lin Sat, who was for the most part, a quiet, hard working boy, to become violent, prone to fits of anger, and unruly. His parents struggled to deal with his temper and destructive rage to no avail. They tried to send him to live with other relatives, but none were able to control him. This continued until at the age of 14 when Lin Sat left home and went to live in Beijing. That was the last that his family ever saw of him, which saddened them, but also was a relief. Lin Sat went to work in a factory there and slowly, because of the requirement that people follow authority, he learned to control his anger to some degree. He did factory work as a teenager and joined the People’s Liberation Army at 18. He was also active in the Communist party during these years and grew to be very fond of Mao Zedong. He identified strongly with the party and was recognized as being someone who was hard working, serious, and capable. This helped him to gain status and favor within the party.
At the age of about 25, he finished up his time in the military and went to work in the Chinese mining industry, eventually becoming a mining boss. Over the years, he took on various positions concerning metalworks, so he gained experienced in a variety of fields concerning metals and mining. This eventually allowed him to become an advisor to a State run steel company. He worked in a leadership position within that company for many years and eventually landed an important position on the Politburo. However, his demon self caught up to him and one night when he was returning home from work, he was attacked suddenly and sealed in a crystal meant to seal demons. He remained sealed for many years. He did not escape the crystal until China was involved with a civil war and the Manalists were plotting to take control of the country. (The crystal as a rare variety of Manala crystal.)

When the Manalists came to power, they eventually plotted to gain control of China. Through civil war and Manalist plotting, the government in China collapsed and the state owned property fell into a privatization frenzy. Lin Sat took advantage of the situation and managed to gain control of what was a state controlled Steel and mining company through stealing the souls and controlling the minds of the industrial leaders. Although he came to own the business, he remains a staunch communist and sees business ownership as part of his strategy to take power himself…one day. Thus, his goal in life is revolution so that he can be a world leader. To this end, he has joined Red Infinity, which is dominated by Li Violette. He sees that she is a good leader and well liked by people, but he also sees her as an obstacle to his own bid for power. Eventually, he knows he will have to assert himself over her and take control of the organization. However, he will let her do the organizing, and in the event of a successful revolution, he will make his move.

Lin Sat is very powerful and a bit of an intimidating figure. Those working for him fear him. He rules his company with an iron fist and expects perfection. The company supplies steel and other materials used to make cars, robots, mechas, and so on. It owns mines and foundries around the world, though, the company itself is based mostly in China and North Korea. (South Korea is controlled by Intelligent Design).

The demon which possesses Lin Sat is Japanese in origin. It traveled to China looking for a host. The demon is a powerful demon of darkness named Kuro, although it goes by other names as well. Kuro completely controls Lin Sat, so there is little humanity or compassion left inside of him. The goal of Kuro is to create a machine that will steal the souls of all the people on Earth and feed them to the demon. That way the demon will become powerful enough to become a god and perhaps even kill off Keitoleinen or competitors. The demon looks at humans as humans might look at cattle. It seems them as something to be used and devoured.

Personality:

Koivo is intelligent and even tempered. He sees the world as a learning experience and often sees people as part of an experiment. He is curious and intellectual to the point of being amoral in his research and pursuit of knowledge. He values knowledge above everything else and will stop and nothing to learn the truth. He is obsessive compulsive, so he is a perfectionist to the point of paranoia in his work. He will redo and recheck his work numerous times if able to.

story:

Koivo is an ancient silver elf created by Ukko. At first, he was created to be an ugly creature until Akka, the wife of Ukko, took pity on his kind and made them beautiful and brought them to live on Taivas. He lived in Taivas, a heavenly place, until the battle of the Gods caused the death of Akka. At that point in time, he traveled to Earth along with other silver elves.

He lived in Finland, in the remote northern region. It is there that he studied many things, including theology, science, astrology, and music. His passion in life was learning, as is typical for his kind. Years past and eventually he went to college in Helsinki and other European institutions. He received degrees in theology, biology, and philosophy. He later went to work for various universities and wrote some books. Over the years, he became involved with a group called the Guild of Masters, which later was renamed the Order of Masters. The Order of Masters is what later became the Manalists. When he joined, it was mostly an atheistic group of the elites of society. He helped develop some of the myths that later became the basis of the Manalist religion.

Although he was involved with the formation of the Manalists, he was never interested in becoming a Master. He is content to pursue his own goal of obtaining the truth about society and individuals.

His current position is that of Grand Inquisitor. His job is to seek out the truth in rebels and offenders to the Manalist religion and dole out a worthy punishment. He has a talent for learning the truth and sees his job as something that benefits society since it filters out ideas that are worthless, such as socialism, anarchy, or false religions.
He has authority to oversee an Inquisition, which is a massive purge of rebels...or even Manalists alike...
He can give orders to other Inquisitors and Crusaders, but he still takes orders from Master Scrag.

Although he is a Manalist, he knows that much of the religion is fictional. He supports it because he supports the things that motivate the fiction. He supports individual rights, selfishness, freedom, and the pursuit of greatness. So, he is a Manalist in that he very much supports the religion, but, he is smart enough to know that some of it is fiction.

He has a twin sister, who was actually born his twin brother. His twin brother had a sex change in the 1990s and became female. One of the Manalist myths, the story of Sinuatta and Hirjatta, was based on his experiences. The story is about two brothers and how one was cursed to become a woman because he offended Father Manala. Koivo doesn’t understand his brother’s sex change, but does his best to be supportive none the less.

Kielo is even tempered and thoughtful. She enjoys learning above all other things, but also has an emotional side. She is moved by beautiful art and music in particular. She likes flowers and dresses and can be very feminine. At the same time, since she is a higher up in the Wrath, she must be logical, hard, and capable. story:

Kielo is an ancient silver elf created by Ukko. At first, she was created to be an ugly creature until Akka, the wife of Ukko, took pity on his kind and made them beautiful and brought them to live on Taivas. She lived in Taivas, a heavenly place, until the battle of the Gods caused the death of Akka. At that point in time, she traveled to Earth along with other silver elves. It should be noted that she was born male and her original name was Kai. She has a twin brother named Koivo. She did not get her sex change until 1990.

In any event, the battle between the gods and the death of Akka bothered her deeply. It was then that she determined that all supernatural beings should die since they cause so much pain in the world and to each others. She extended this to the creations of the gods, such as elves, angels, demons, etc.

After leaving Taivas, she lived in Finland with her brother and studied many things. At the time, she was male and never very happy with that. She often shut herself off from the world out of despair for being a man. She lived in isolation until she learned that the humans could do sex changes. In 1990, she travelled to the United States and had a sex change. It was then that she finally became a woman. She named herself Kielo, which means Lily of the Valley. That is her favorite flower.

Her brother rejected her after the sex change, so she lived apart for him for many years. She did not return to him until after the Manalists took power. To make amends for their troubles in the past, she offered to work for the Manalists. She was assigned a job with The Wrath because of her dislike for supernatural beings.

She is currently a higher up in the Wrath who can give orders but who also does some missions. The supernaturals that she captures are often turned into humans or have their powers taken away. Some are turned over to the Inquisitor or the Temple of Terror. She is content with her work since she feels it is what the world needs.

In her spare time, she enjoys visiting gardens or going shopping. She is also a vegetarian.

She has never had a relationship since most men are put off by the fact that at one time she was a man.

To this day, she still has some strain in the relationship with her twin brother because of her choice to become a woman.

She is third in command of The Wrath. Her position is called, Lady of Wrath.

Appearance:

Antero has black and purple hair, a lip ring, and a scrawny body. He wears tight black pants and a mesh shirt. He likes to wear black generally. He is about 5'7, so he is thin and short. He is often mistaken for younger than he is, which annoys him greatly.

Personality:

Antero likes to cause chaos and destroy things. He believes in freedom and his goal is to get rid of religion and the corporations that rule the world. He is unruly and often out of control. He is obsessed with explosions and living dangerously. He likes action and tends to get bored easily. He has a hard time making friends and tends to be violent and anti social. However, when he does make friends, he is loyal to them and deep down he values them very much.

story:

Antero was born and raised in the ruins of New York. His mother was Finnish American and he never knew his father. His mother and him were homeless and lived by scavenging in the ruins of NY. He was never educated formally, but his mother taught him how to read and a little about history. Because of this, he is not a very educated person, but makes up for it in survival skills and street smarts.

At the age of 15 he met Shura Kropotkin, an anarchist from Russia. They met when Shura was mapping the United States (Shura is a cartographer). The two became friends and later lovers. Shura moved Antero to Helsinki, where Shura owned a map shop that was secretly also a gun shop. Antero has since helped out with the business and tried to help out the anarchist movement as well.

Shura is calm and mature and keeps Antero's behaviors in check. Shura was involved in a relationship with Salome Weil so Antero also has ties with her. Salome treats Antero like a wayward child and to some degree also takes care of him. So, the closest people in his life tend to take on a parental role with him. He resents authority, but, listens to Shura and Salome more than other people. He may have been sexually involved with Salome as well.

Antero tends to be very sexually active and because of this, he has HGTV, an STD that was created by Genetech primarily to punish homosexuals. Because of this STD, he has a weakened immune system. He takes Red Leaf illegally in order to ease the discomfort of the disease.

Personality:

Bjorn can be uptight and distant. His favorite topic is the weather, which he brings up in all social situations. He is proud of his profession as a meteorologist. He is well groomed and takes numerous showers each day as well as washes his hands frequently. He is rarely sick but has a hard time camping or doing activities that require him to get dirty. He is intelligent but socially inept. Aside from his accomplishments at a meteorologist, he is an excellent swimmer and has won many awards for swimming in college. He can still be found swimming in his free time.

story:

Bjorn was born in Iceland to a middle class family that followed Manalism and lived an average life. He did well in school and went on to college in Europe for meteorology on a swimming scholarship. After college, he landed a job for M TV's weather channel division as a meteorologist. He is not a TV weather person but someone who works at forecasting and interpreting weather patterns. So, he does behind the scenes weather work. He would agree with Manalism or at least not question it if not for one thing...the fact that he is gay and Manalists frown upon homosexuality or any deviation from their sexual norms. What's worse, they created a disease called HGTV to punish homosexuals.

Because of this, he is secretly a member of the group called Rainbow Army, a militant group that fights for the rights of gays, lesbians, transgendered, bisexual etc. The Rainbow Army is based in the United States so he sometimes travels there to meet with operatives. He also gives up some of his income as a meteorologist to support their activities.
